The timing is significant. Mercedes-Benz says the electric GLC has already generated more customer orders than any previous electric vehicle in the company's history, with production now running on a three shift schedule at its Bremen plant.

Charging performance is equally competitive. Under suitable conditions, the battery can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes using DC fast charging at up to 320 kW. The GLC 250 also accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds, placing it comfortably within the premium electric SUV segment.
