Leapmotor B03 Makes Its European Debut in Paris
The 2026 Leapmotor B03 has arrived at the Paris Motor Show, introducing another compact electric hatchback to the European market. The new model joins the Chinese manufacturer's expanding lineup, with a particular focus on everyday usability, connected technology and passenger space.
It arrives two years after Leapmotor first appeared at the Paris show, this time alongside the larger D19 SUV and news that production of the B10 has started in Zaragoza, Spain.
The B03 is aimed at the compact B-segment, where practical dimensions and running costs play an important role in choosing an electric car.
Orange Bodywork and Compact Hatchback Proportions
The B03 follows a familiar five-door hatchback layout, with a short front section, rounded body surfaces and an upright passenger compartment.
The example displayed in Paris wears bright orange paint, contrasted by a dark roof and black exterior details.
Slim headlights sit above a broad lower bumper opening, while pronounced wheel arches and large multi-spoke alloy wheels give the body a more substantial appearance.
Its relatively upright roofline also supports the car's emphasis on passenger accommodation.
Leapmotor has not published detailed exterior dimensions in the supplied announcement, although the B03 is positioned firmly within the compact electric hatchback category.
Rear Passenger Space and Flexible Storage
Inside, the B03 offers up to 888 mm of rear legroom, a figure Leapmotor highlights as an advantage within its segment.
The cabin also includes more than 30 storage compartments, a waterproof Leap Box area and the adaptable LeapFlex rear-seat system.
A 14.6-inch floating touchscreen occupies the centre of the dashboard, accompanied by an 8.8-inch digital instrument display.
Leap OS 4.0 Plus manages the infotainment system, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and over-the-air software updates.
Heated seats, a heated steering wheel and automatic climate control add to the equipment list, while soft-touch materials are used throughout the interior.
145 kW Electric Powertrain With 21 Minute Charging
The B03 uses Leapmotor's latest Compact Electric Platform, with an electric drivetrain producing up to 145 kW.
The manufacturer quotes a WLTP driving range of up to 390 km, making the hatchback suitable for everyday urban journeys and longer trips.
Its 2.5C charging system supports a 10 to 80 percent recharge in 21 minutes.
Battery capacity, acceleration figures and maximum speed remain undisclosed in the supplied press information.
Driver Assistance and European Market Positioning
The B03 incorporates 21 advanced driver assistance systems, supported by Leapmotor's latest electronic architecture and an extensive sensor package.
European pricing and customer delivery dates have not yet been announced.
The hatchback forms part of Leapmotor's wider expansion in Europe, supported by its partnership with Stellantis and access to the Free2move Charge network.
With local B10 production now underway in Spain, the B03 adds another model to a growing range aimed at European electric vehicle buyers.
