Australian pricing starts at $29,990 drive away for the B03X Style.
Design LR gets a 53kWh LFP battery and up to 382km of WLTP range.
Both versions feature a 14.6-inch touchscreen and LEAP Pilot Level 2 assistance.
The 2026 Leapmotor B03X will arrive at Australian dealerships in November, bringing another compact electric SUV into the lower end of the market. Two rear-wheel-drive versions are confirmed: Style at $29,990 drive away and the longer-range Design LR at $33,990 drive away. B03X - Final version
The difference between them goes beyond equipment. Style uses a smaller battery and 130kW motor, while Design LR increases both range and output.
Compact Body Keeps SUV Proportions
At 4,270mm long and 1,810mm wide, with a 2,605mm wheelbase, the B03X sits firmly in compact SUV territory. The exterior uses relatively clean surfacing, with LED lighting, semi-concealed door handles and roof rails among the details identified by Leapmotor.
Six exterior colours are listed, including standard Acorn Brown alongside optional Rime Beige, Galaxy Silver, Tundra Grey, Berry Blue and Seaweed Green.
Design LR adds 18-inch alloy wheels. The supplied material does not specify the wheel size fitted to Style. B03X - Final version
14.6 Inch Screen Dominates The Cabin
The dashboard is built around a 14.6-inch high-resolution central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with navigation, voice control, over-the-air updates and connected vehicle functions. Design LR adds OEKO-TEX certified TechnoLeather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting and a 12-speaker audio system.
Practicality is a bigger part of the B03X package than its compact footprint suggests. There are 33 storage areas, Leap Flex rear seats and a Leap Box compartment. With the 60:40 rear seats folded, cargo capacity reaches 1,315 litres. B03X - Final version
Two Batteries Offer Up To 382km
The entry B03X Style combines a 39.8kWh LFP battery with a 130kW electric motor producing 200Nm. WLTP range is rated at up to 292km.
Design LR moves to a 53kWh LFP battery, increasing range to 382km and motor output to 145kW. Both versions accelerate from 0–100km/h in 8.6 seconds and have a 160km/h top speed. B03X - Final version
DC charging reaches 100kW on Style and 133kW on Design LR, with a 30–80 percent charge taking approximately 16 minutes under optimal conditions. Both also get an 11kW onboard AC charger and 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load capability.
Level 2 Assistance Comes Standard
Every B03X includes seven airbags and LEAP Pilot Level 2 technology supporting 21 driver assistance systems. Adaptive cruise control, lane centring, autonomous emergency braking and blind spot detection are among the standard functions.
Design LR adds front parking sensors, side collision sensors and a 360-degree camera with an integrated dashcam recorder.
With pricing beginning below $30,000 drive away, the B03X enters Australia as Leapmotor's most accessible electric SUV, while the Design LR trades a modest price increase for more range, power and equipment.
