2026 Kia EV5 GT-Line White Pearl

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Dual-motor AWD setup delivers around 310 hp (230 kW) and 480 Nm, with a 0–100 km/h time of roughly 6.3 seconds.

  • The 88.1 kWh battery provides up to 530 km WLTP range, plus V2L functionality.

  • In Europe, the EV5 GT-Line is expected to start at €53,000–€55,000, placing it against rivals like the Tesla Model Y and Renault Scenic E-Tech.

A Sharper Take on Kia’s EV Styling

Kia’s “Opposites United” design language is now familiar across the EV range, and the EV5 GT Line follows suit. The body carries squared-off proportions, clean surfacing, and a broad stance that feels right at home in the compact SUV class.

The GT Line trim dresses things up with blacked-out elements, reshaped fascias, and wheels unique to this grade. It doesn’t try to disguise its family-car roots, but it does give the EV5 a stronger visual punch.

Dimensions That Hit the Sweet Spot

In terms of size, the EV5 GT Line comes in smaller than the EV6, which keeps it firmly in the compact SUV category. That makes it maneuverable in dense cities while still leaving enough room inside for family duty. This balance is deliberate: Kia knows this is the growth segment for electric cars, particularly in markets that demand a versatile mid-size footprint.

Powertrain Options for Different Markets

Kia is offering the EV5 GT Line with a spread of powertrains to suit global tastes and regulations. Front-wheel-drive models sit at the base, while all-wheel drive steps in for buyers who want more traction and output.

Battery sizes vary by market, with standard and long-range packs on the table. The numbers on driving range depend on region and testing cycle, but the intent is clear: these variants are designed to cover both daily runs and longer commutes without excess downtime. Performance leans toward balance and predictability rather than outright speed.

Inside the EV5 GT Line

The cabin is where Kia puts its emphasis on practicality. Two large digital screens run across the dash, tying together driver info and infotainment. Kia hasn’t gone fully screen-only; there are still physical controls for essential tasks, which helps ease everyday use.

Trim and upholstery are a cut above the base EV5, giving the GT Line a more premium feel. Space in the second row is generous for a compact SUV, with seat design aimed at comfort over longer trips. Cargo space holds steady in the segment, with flexible seating arrangements that fold down for bigger loads.

Technology and Safety Systems

Kia’s connected suite is fully in play here. Over-the-air updates, Kia Connect remote functions, and a full spread of smartphone integration are standard fare. Navigation includes EV-specific tools like charging station locators, which should ease planning longer trips.

On the driver-assist side, adaptive cruise, lane-keeping, and automated braking are present. In some markets, Highway Driving Assist and remote smart parking join the list, depending on regulations and spec.

Charging and Efficiency

Charging support covers both AC and DC setups. With the larger packs, fast charging brings the downtime down to a usable minimum, though rates vary depending on regional standards and infrastructure. Kia has aimed here for consistency and everyday efficiency — the EV5 GT Line is built as a regular family car that just happens to be electric.
