2026 Jensen Interceptor GT

The Interceptor GT is a planned luxury road car and forms part of Jensen International's new model programme alongside the GTX and GTR.
Its design will share the new Interceptor language previewed by the GTX, including classic front engine, cab rearward GT proportions.
Detailed GT engine, transmission, performance, interior and production specifications have not yet been announced.
The 2026 Jensen Interceptor GT offers the first look at the more luxurious side of Jensen International's new Interceptor programme. Revealed through images alongside the track only GTX prototype, the GT is planned as a road going grand tourer and the model most closely inspired by the original Interceptor.
For now, this is a preview rather than a complete production specification. Jensen has confirmed the GT's place in its roadmap, but has not released its engine output, dimensions, price or launch timing.
Classic Interceptor Proportions Return
The GT shares a design language developed with independent studio Avant Design. Jensen describes the approach as an interpretation of how the Interceptor might have evolved had the marque continued developing uninterrupted into the present day. The same visual language is shown across the GTX, GTR and GT.
That starts with the familiar front engined, cab rearward proportions: a long bonnet, compact passenger compartment and substantial rear haunches. On the GTX, slim horizontal LED lighting and a low, wide front end establish the new family identity.
Wraparound Glass Connects Past and Present
One particularly important visual reference is the floating rear roof section and wraparound glasshouse. The treatment recalls the distinctive rear glass of the 1966 Interceptor without directly recreating the old body.
That link matters because Jensen says around 80 percent of the GTX's exterior form, including key panels and associated tooling, is intended to carry through to the eventual road car range.
Luxury Cabin Details Remain Under Wraps
Unlike the GTX's competition oriented cockpit, the Interceptor GT is intended to be a luxury focused grand tourer. Detailed interior images, materials, infotainment technology and seating specifications are not described in the supplied release, so any further cabin description would be.
The distinction is deliberate. The GTX uses an FIA approved safety cage, Tillett carbon fibre competition seats and a configurable MoTeC display, while the future GT is positioned at the other end of the Interceptor programme.
GT Powertrain Has Not Been Confirmed
Jensen has not confirmed the GT's engine. The GTX uses a supercharged 6.8 litre V8 producing 960 bhp, but applying that specification to the luxury GT would be unsupported.
The company does say future road models could use either a conventional H pattern manual gearbox or a fully automatic transmission. Which arrangement will reach the GT remains.
A Road Focused Interceptor Is the Longer Term Goal
The GT sits after the planned street legal, high performance GTR in Jensen's product roadmap. It is intended to move the programme toward the luxury grand touring character historically associated with the Interceptor.
