2026 Jeep Gladiator Sarge
By Lorenzo Bianchi June 13, 2026
Gladiator Sarge draws inspiration from the original 1941 Willys MB.
Exclusive '41 Green accents and military-inspired graphics define the design.
Based on Willys and Rubicon trims with up to 7,700 pounds of towing capacity.
The 2027 Jeep Gladiator Sarge arrives alongside the Wrangler Sarge, but the pickup brings a slightly different character to Jeep's latest heritage-themed special edition.
While both vehicles draw inspiration from the original Willys MB, the Gladiator combines those military influences with the practicality of a pickup truck. It remains the only open-air pickup in its segment, and for this special edition Jeep has wrapped that formula in a collection of details that trace the brand's story back to 1941.
The first thing most people will notice is the color. Finished with exclusive '41 Green accents, the Gladiator Sarge carries the same olive-drab inspiration that has become closely associated with Jeep's military heritage. The color was first introduced in 2020 and has since become one of the brand's most recognizable heritage references.
A Pickup Shaped By Heritage Details
Walking around the Gladiator Sarge, the military-inspired theme appears in a number of subtle ways rather than through dramatic styling changes.
A vintage-style 1941 hood decal sits alongside military star graphics on the doors, immediately linking the truck to the Willys MB that helped establish Jeep's reputation. Buyers can specify matching grille surrounds in either '41 Green or white, while a body-color Freedom Top roof continues the theme.
Bronze tow hooks add contrast against the exterior finish and remain fully functional for off-road use. Jeep also fits exclusive 17-inch wheels painted in '41 Green and wraps them in 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires.
Steel Rubicon Rock Rails and body-color fender flares complete the exterior package. None of these elements changes the truck's overall shape, but together they give it a noticeably different personality from a standard Gladiator.
Mission Ready Interior With Unique Materials
Inside, Jeep has avoided a simple badge-and-sticker approach.
The cabin introduces a distinctive mix of Cattle Tan Nappa leather and Drab Green trim, creating a color scheme unique to the Sarge edition. These finishes appear on high-contact surfaces including the instrument panel surround, center console, and door armrests.
Soul Cloth upholstery is used throughout the cabin, while Mayan Gold stitching adds another layer of visual detail. Jeep also incorporated several heritage touches, including a 1941 cup holder plaque, a star medallion shift knob, and HVAC graphics inspired by the brand's seven-slot grille. A dedicated rear swing gate plaque reinforces the connection to Jeep history.
Capability Remains At The Core
Although the styling tells the story, capability remains central to the Gladiator Sarge.
Based on Willys and Rubicon trims, the special edition retains the off-road credentials expected from the Gladiator. Jeep also highlights best-in-class approach angle, unsurpassed departure angle, a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds, and payload capacity reaching 1,720 pounds.
Those figures help explain why Jeep chose the Gladiator for the Sarge treatment. The truck's combination of utility, off-road capability, and open-air design aligns naturally with the rugged image the special edition is intended to celebrate.
