A pickup with a clear throwback identity
The 2026 Jeep Gladiator Rewind Edition doesn’t hide what it’s trying to do. It leans straight into nostalgia.
The idea comes from a concept first shown at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari. That alone doesn’t guarantee a production version, but the response was strong enough that Jeep brought it through almost unchanged.
Visually, it pulls from the late ’80s and early ’90s. Bright colours, layered graphics, and patterns that feel closer to mixtapes and arcade machines than modern trucks. It’s not subtle, and it’s not meant to be.
Gold accents on the wheels and tow hooks add contrast against the brighter body finishes. The combination sounds mismatched on paper, but in practice it feels deliberate.
Gladiator proportions keep it grounded
Underneath the graphics, it’s still very much a Gladiator.
Long wheelbase, upright cabin, open bed. The proportions don’t change, and that’s important. The pickup format gives the Rewind Edition a different presence compared to the Wrangler version.
It sits on off-road tyres and includes steel rock rails, reinforcing that it hasn’t been softened for the sake of design. The stance remains functional first, even if the visuals lean more expressive.
Interior follows the same retro idea
Inside, Jeep has carried the theme further than expected.
The seats use Nappa leather, but the standout detail is the embossing. It draws from 8-bit graphics, echoing early digital visuals rather than traditional automotive patterns.
There are small touches throughout the cabin. A dot-matrix style shift knob cap, unique plaques, and colour-matched interior panels all tie back to the same idea.
It’s consistent. Nothing feels added at the last minute. The interior reads as part of the same concept rather than a separate layer.
Mechanical setup stays unchanged
There are no major changes to how the Gladiator drives.
The Rewind Edition is based on the Willys trim, which means it keeps the core off-road hardware intact. That includes a locking rear differential, Off-Road+ mode, and the usual Jeep drivetrain setup.
Engine specifics aren’t highlighted for this version, suggesting it carries over from the standard Gladiator lineup. [Unverified]
The focus here isn’t performance. It’s capability and character, in that order.
Still built to be used
Despite the strong design theme, the Gladiator Rewind Edition doesn’t lose its practicality.
The pickup bed remains fully usable, and features like a trailer hitch and auxiliary switches are included. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote start are also part of the package.
Driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning are included as well, keeping it aligned with modern expectations.
