2026 Acura Integra A-Spec Tech 6MT
By Lorenzo Bianchi December 16, 2025
The only high-end compact sedan with a six-speed manual transmission is still the Integra A Spec Tech 6MT.
Aero detailing, wheels, and new color options are the main areas of focus for design updates.
Technology, usability, and minor but significant material changes are the main focuses of interior upgrades.
Visual Updates and Exterior Design
Reinvention is not the goal of the 2026 Acura Integra A Spec Tech 6MT. Rather, Acura has opted for meticulous refinement, as evidenced by the updated aero body kit installed on A Spec models. Gloss black front corner spoilers and revised side sill garnishes subtly sharpen the stance without altering the car’s familiar proportions. The five door liftback profile remains intact, still a practical outlier in a segment dominated by traditional sedans.
New 18 inch black wheels add visual weight, particularly when paired with one of three newly introduced exterior colors: Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, and Double Apex Blue Pearl. The latter brings added visual distinction through an available color matched grille, a detail that slightly modernizes the front fascia while staying within Acura’s established design language.
Powertrain and Manual Transmission Focus
Under the hood sits Acura’s familiar 1.5 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine, producing 200 horsepower and 192 lb ft of torque. Numbers remain unchanged, and that restraint feels intentional. The focus here is not escalation, but balance. In A Spec Tech 6MT form, the engine is paired with a close ratio six speed manual transmission featuring automatic rev matching and a helical limited slip differential.
This configuration remains segment exclusive. The manual’s short throws and mechanical clarity continue to define the Integra’s appeal to engaged drivers, particularly as rivals move toward dual clutch or fully electric alternatives. Performance figures are consistent with prior models, with no revised acceleration data announced.
Cabin Technology and Material Revisions
Inside, the most noticeable change is the new standard 9 inch touchscreen, now fitted across the Integra lineup. It replaces the smaller display and introduces wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging as standard equipment. The system benefits from a faster processor, improving responsiveness during use.
A Spec models receive extended ambient lighting and updated interior accents. Ebony interiors gain yellow stitching, while Orchid interiors add blue inserts first seen on other Acura models. These are subtle changes, but they align with Acura’s broader push toward a more premium, personalized cabin experience without unnecessary complexity.
Chassis Tuning and Driving Character
The Integra continues to ride on a rigid body structure with a fully independent suspension. Steering remains variable ratio, and braking hardware is unchanged. The Integrated Dynamics System allows adjustment of throttle response, steering weight, and suspension behavior, with an Individual mode included on A Spec with Technology Package models.
An available Adaptive Damper System adds further adjustability, reinforcing the Integra’s positioning as a daily driver with genuine dynamic range rather than a narrowly focused sport sedan.
Market Positioning and Context
The 2026 Integra A Spec Tech 6MT is positioned by Acura as a performance gateway model, a position it successfully maintains. With over 40 percent of premium compact sedan retail sales, the Integra occupies a space that competitors such as the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and Mercedes CLA approach differently, often without a manual option.
