Design and Stance

The black sport mesh grille, dark lower bumpers, and roof-mounted shark fin antenna give the minivan a grounded, assertive look. On front-wheel-drive versions, it rides on 20-inch split five-spoke alloy wheels, while 18-inch alloys are fitted to AWD models

Black exterior accents extend to the mirrors, roof rails, and side rockers, while an illuminated turn signal element and Toyota Sienna XSE-exclusive rear bumper treatment round out the look. The addition of Heavy Metal paint for 2026 enhances the color palette across the lineup, offering a more contemporary tone among traditional Toyota hues.

Inside, the cabin is calm yet purposeful. The Toyota Sienna XSE features SofTex sport-trimmed seats, heated and power-adjustable front chairs, and a four-zone climate system with digital rear controls. Toyota’s design team has struck a practical balance between soft-touch materials and surfaces that stand up to family use — the kind of thoughtful design that defines the modern Sienna.

Powertrain and Performance

Like every Sienna, the Toyota Sienna XSE runs Toyota’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system, producing 245 total horsepower through an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). Power is sent to the front or all four wheels depending on configuration.

Its hybrid system combines proven Toyota reliability with a manufacturer-estimated 36 mpg combined in front-wheel-drive form or 35 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The system’s behavior is smooth and predictable — aided by selectable EV, Eco, Normal, and Sport modes that adjust throttle and response.

Suspension tuning is unique to the Toyota Sienna XSE, featuring revised spring rates, stabilizer bars, and damping, making it the most agile Sienna variant. It’s not a sports van, but it feels more composed and planted than one might expect from a three-row family vehicle

A 12.3-inch touchscreen sits at the heart of the dashboard, powered by Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system. The Toyota Sienna XSE now comes standard with a 12-speaker JBL Premium Audio setup, complete with a subwoofer and amplifier — a system previously optional on lower trims. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with integrated cloud navigation and the “Hey Toyota” voice assistant.
