2025 Toyota Sienna Woodland

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Woodland Edition adds all-wheel drive and higher ground clearance.

  • 2.5L hybrid system delivers 245 hp and up to 36 mpg combined.

  • New features and materials elevate comfort across all grades.

Toyota’s Family Adventure Minivan Evolves

The 2025 Toyota Sienna Woodland returns as the most adventurous take on Toyota’s long-running minivan, combining hybrid efficiency with SUV-like confidence. Built from the same platform that underpins the rest of the Sienna range, the Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition adds subtle off-road readiness without compromising the comfort or refinement families expect.

For 2026, Toyota refines the entire Sienna lineup with more standard equipment, a new Heavy Metal exterior color, and subtle design updates. The Toyota Sienna Woodland remains distinct with its standard all-wheel drive, a half-inch lift in ride height, and durable finishes aimed at drivers who use their minivans for more than the school run.

Hybrid Performance and All-Wheel Confidence

Every Sienna, including the Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition, is powered by Toyota’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system paired with an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). Together, they deliver 245 total system horsepower and a manufacturer-estimated 36 mpg combined (FWD) or 35 mpg (AWD).

The Toyota Sienna Woodland’s AWD system uses a separate rear electric motor to provide traction to the rear wheels when needed, avoiding the weight and complexity of a traditional driveshaft. During acceleration, the system can send up to 80 percent of torque to the rear for enhanced stability.

Selectable driving modes—EV, Normal, Eco, and Sport—let drivers tailor response to the moment, from silent low-speed electric operation to highway cruising.

Interior Design and Usability

The Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition is distinguished visually by its distinctive badging, black roof rails, and dark accents. The design is less flashy than sporty trims like the XSE but more robust in detail. Standard 18-inch alloy wheels and a black sport grille tie it visually to Toyota’s adventure-oriented lineup.

Inside, the Toyota Sienna Woodland’s seven-seat layout uses Super-Long-Slide captain’s chairs in the second row, offering flexibility for cargo or passengers. The cabin mixes black SofTex® upholstery with caramel stitching, giving it a subtle outdoor theme.

The Sienna formula still relies heavily on practicality. Its dual function as a family hauler and gear carrier is highlighted by a 1500W AC power outlet in the back, a 3,500-pound tow hitch, and Split & Stow 3rd Row® seating. Heated seats, rear sunshades, and seven USB ports ensure passengers stay comfortable and connected.

Features and Market Position

The Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition joins the existing Sienna family—LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum—offering a more rugged option in a market now filled with hybrid and crossover alternatives. Toyota’s 12.3-inch touchscreen with JBL Premium Audio, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite are standard, bringing a full suite of safety and connectivity to all trims.
