A Commemorative Design Rooted in Porsche History
The 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche 992 ll is not positioned as a performance outlier, but as a carefully judged tribute. Created to mark what would have been Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s 90th birthday, the car draws its visual identity from a G Series 911 he personally drove in the 1980s. The connection is deliberate, visible in both colour and detailing rather than overt graphics.
Finished exclusively in F A Greenmetallic, the paint was developed through Porsche’s Paint to Sample Plus programme and references the Oakgreenmetallic tone associated with Porsche’s own car. The Touring Package bodywork keeps the profile understated, relying on an extendable rear spoiler instead of a fixed wing. Sport Classic wheels, inspired by historic Fuchs rims, feature a central locking system and period correct crest details. A galvanised gold plated badge on the rear grille quietly identifies the car as one of the anniversary models.
Interior Craftsmanship and Personal References
Inside, the GT3 90 FA Porsche leans heavily into material storytelling. Truffle Brown Club Leather covers the seats and interior surfaces, offset by Chalk Beige stitching and seat centres trimmed in a bespoke Grid Weave fabric. The pattern echoes the jackets frequently worn by F A Porsche, a personal detail highlighted by his son Mark Porsche during the project’s development.
The Grid Weave fabric appears beyond the seats, extending into the glovebox lining, luggage compartment mat and document holder. A walnut gear knob, finished with an engraved signature, replaces the standard GT3 item. On the dashboard, a gold plated plaque marked “One of 90” and bearing the original 911 silhouette formally establishes the car’s collector status.
Proven GT3 Mechanical Package
Beneath the heritage detailing sits familiar GT3 hardware. The commemorative model is based on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, retaining the naturally aspirated 4.0 litre flat six producing 375 kW (510 PS) and 450 Nm of torque. Power delivery remains defined by high revs, immediate throttle response and a mechanical character that aligns closely with the ethos of F A Porsche’s functional design philosophy.
No performance modifications are claimed beyond the standard GT3 Touring specification. That decision appears intentional. The focus here is purity rather than numerical escalation, with the Touring configuration offering a more discreet, road focused interpretation of the GT3 formula.
Ownership Experience and Market Position
Only 90 examples will be built, with one allocated to Mark Porsche and the remaining cars offered globally. Orders open in April 2026, with production scheduled for the second half of the year following individual configuration sessions. Each car includes a matching Porsche Design Chronograph 1 special edition and a bespoke leather weekender bag trimmed to mirror the interior materials.
