Rather than leaning into the neon palette that defines the Strip, MSO builds the story through monochrome tones. Each line, curve and texture aims to translate the movement and spectacle of the city into visual rhythm, a creative approach explicitly described by McLaren in its press material.

The stance of the 750S Spider is unchanged, but the bodywork becomes a canvas. The “Sketch in Motion” livery is hand-painted, referencing architecture, signage and the city’s relationship with performance culture. The approach feels observational rather than literal—gestural strokes instead of direct illustration. It’s a study in character rather than colour.

Craftsmanship Rooted in MSO’s Bespoke Process

Project Viva carries a dual purpose: a tribute to Las Vegas and a demonstration of MSO’s artisanal range. The paint job features Vegas Nights, a custom paint made just for this commission, and Muriwai White, which pays homage to the shutters and doors in the Muriwai House motif that is important to McLaren's past. The latter is a deep black with subtle cyan, magenta and green metallic flecks, designed to mimic the glow of the city after dark.

Every surface has been re-worked by hand. MSO emphasises that nothing in the livery is arbitrary—each detail contributes to a narrative linking McLaren’s design heritage with the cultural energy of Las Vegas. Both added their own hand-drawn details directly onto the car, including individual signatures and the tenth Constructors’ Championship star celebrating the team’s recent triumph.
