OTA Rollout Enhances the B10 Ownership Experience
The 2025 Leap Motor B10 has received a new Over-the-Air software update in Australia, delivered directly to customers without requiring a dealership visit.
Owners are notified through the vehicle interface, after which the update is downloaded via Wi-Fi and installed from the central display.
It is a software-led enhancement rather than a hardware change. The focus sits squarely on usability, safety refinement and digital integration — areas increasingly defining the electric vehicle landscape.
Smartphone Connectivity Now Fully Integrated
The most immediate addition is support for both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The vehicle now enables seamless smartphone integration, allowing access to navigation, media and applications directly through the infotainment display.
The system also introduces a ‘Fast Boot’ function. The infotainment unit pre-loads during start-up, reducing waiting times when entering the vehicle.
Navigation now supports a left-side split-screen layout for improved visibility and multitasking. Voice recognition has been expanded. Drivers can now control windows, venting, exterior lighting, media and interface functions hands-free.
The result is a more fluid, intuitive interaction between driver and machine.
Enhancement of Customized Configurations and ADAS
The upgrade recalibrates the Advanced Driver Assistance System. For more seamless adaptive slowing around curves, adaptive cruise control and lane centering control have been enhanced. The improvement aims to increase comfort and confidence, especially on winding routes.
Drivers can now create customized shortcuts using memory settings for key driving preferences. These include ADAS configurations, acceleration response and regenerative braking levels. It allows the B10 to reflect individual driving styles rather than a fixed factory setup.
Additional enhancements include an optimised Life Detection Reminder strategy to improve occupant safety and awareness. The charger connector locking logic has also been revised, ensuring that once charging is complete, the connector remains locked or unlocked in line with the vehicle’s locked or unlocked state.
Enhanced One Pedal Driving
One of the more tangible changes comes through the one-pedal driving system. Energy recovery has been enhanced, allowing most acceleration and deceleration to be managed using only the accelerator pedal.
In daily driving, this delivers a smoother and more efficient experience. It reduces reliance on the brake pedal and aligns with broader EV expectations of progressive regenerative control.
