2025 Kia K4 GT Line UK Version

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Kia K4 GT-Line starts at £29,995 in the UK, positioned between the entry-level Pure and flagship GT-Line S trims.

  • Engine choices include a 1.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol with 147 bhp, both paired to a dual-clutch transmission.

  • GT-Line specification brings upgraded design cues, enhanced comfort features, and added driver assistance technology.

Kia has formally opened order books for the new K4 range, which will sit alongside the EV4 and XCeed, giving UK buyers a choice between petrol and electric options in the C-segment hatchback class. The K4 aims to undercut its established rivals with a starting figure of £25,995 for the base Pure model, while the GT-Line trim begins at £29,995.

The GT-Line is expected to be the sweet spot for most UK buyers—delivering the sportier look, a strong standard equipment package, and the choice of two petrol engines.

Exterior Design and Styling Enhancements

The GT-Line trim sharpens the K4’s presence with 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black exterior detailing, and signature GT-Line styling elements on both the body and cabin

Privacy glass at the rear and gloss black folding mirrors with LED indicators distinguish it further from the Pure.

At 4,430mm long and 1,850mm wide, the K4 has a confident stance, supported by Kia’s design direction that emphasizes width, clarity of lines, and practical hatchback proportions.

Engine and Performance Options

Under the bonnet, the GT-Line is offered with two petrol powertrains:

  • 1.0-litre T-GDi 48V mild-hybrid with 113 bhp and 200 Nm, paired exclusively to Kia’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
  • 1.6-litre T-GDi turbocharged petrol, producing 147 bhp and 250 Nm, also matched with a DCT.

Performance figures highlight a versatile spread: the 1.0-litre version accelerates from 0–62mph in 12.3 seconds, while the 1.6-litre reduces that to 9.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 128 mph

This choice gives buyers flexibility—between efficiency and stronger performance—without compromising on drivability.

Interior and Technology

The GT-Line brings a substantial lift in cabin features compared to the entry Pure model. Highlights include:

  • Black and grey artificial leather upholstery
  • Electric driver’s seat adjustment with lumbar support
  • Heated front seats
  • Three-spoke steering wheel and alloy pedals for sportier feel
  • 12.3-inch driver display and 12.3-inch central touchscreen in Kia’s triple-screen layout
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus free seven-year Kia Connect services

Practicality remains core: 60:40 split-folding rear seats, adjustable cargo floor, and 438 litres of luggage space (328 litres for mild-hybrid versions)

Pricing and Equipment Value

The K4 GT-Line starts at £29,995 with the 1.0-litre mild-hybrid engine, while the 1.6-litre turbo variant is priced at £31,295. This keeps the model competitively priced against class rivals while offering a richer equipment list.
