In profile, the vehicle sits tall and wide, with squared-off shoulders and a long wheelbase that clearly place it in the midsize SUV class. The stance is confident rather than playful, reinforced by short overhangs and a high beltline that visually grounds the body.
Brabus-specific detailing sharpens the look without overwhelming it. Dark exterior accents, larger wheels, and a more assertive front fascia distinguish the performance line from other Smart No.5 variants. Lighting plays a central role. The CyberSparks LED+ headlamps with matrix technology add both technical presence and functional clarity, especially in low-visibility conditions.
Electric Platform and Charging Capability
Under the surface, the Smart No.5 rides on an advanced 800-volt electric platform. All versions from Pro+ upward, including Brabus, use a 100 kWh lithium nickel manganese cobalt battery. In optimal conditions, DC fast charging peaks at up to 400 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 18 minutes.

The Brabus Smart No.5 benefits from hardware designed for varied terrain. A double wishbone front suspension contributes to controlled body movement on winding roads, while up to five off-road driving modes expand capability beyond asphalt. Ground clearance reaches up to 197 mm, supported by a wading depth of 500 mm on higher trims.

Market Positioning in Europe
With pricing in Germany reaching €60,900 for the Brabus line, the Smart No.5 positions itself against premium electric SUVs rather than traditional compact crossovers. This places it in indirect competition with models from Tesla, Volvo, and Volkswagen Group.
