It’s not the Smart car you remember. The 2025 Smart No.5 Jungle Realm Edition tosses out the brand’s compact urban image in favor of blocky bodywork, lifted suspension, and roof racks that look like they were bolted on for safari duty.

Visual Swagger with Utility Built-In
There’s a chunky, angular presence here. At 4,705 mm long and 1,705 mm tall, the No.5 doesn’t look small in any direction. A 2,900 mm wheelbase and 231 mm ground clearance give it the right stance for what it’s trying to be—an electric SUV that doesn't need pavement to prove its point.
The Jungle Realm package adds matte black cladding, recovery hooks, a full-length roof rack, and even a ladder mounted to the rear. It’s theatrical, sure—but also functional.

Dual motors send a combined 432 kW (579 hp) and 710 Nm to all four wheels. That’s enough to sprint to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, which is quick by any SUV standard, let alone one with roof gear and off-road ambitions.
The 100 kWh battery delivers a CLTC-rated 580 km range and supports 800V architecture, enabling DC fast charging at up to 400 kW—meaning 10 to 80% top-ups in under 20 minutes, at least in ideal conditions.
There’s also vehicle-to-load support and off-road modes for sand, mud, snow, and rock. A wading depth of 500 mm confirms Smart’s intent: this is more than just aesthetics.
Cabin Tech and Playfulness
Inside, you’ll find a 13-inch center touchscreen paired with a digital driver cluster and a head-up display. It’s clean, functional, and surprisingly premium. Sennheiser provides the sound system, and there’s even a built-in projector that can beam a 233-inch image—perfect for campsite movies or rooftop tailgates.
Storage is smart too. A front trunk adds 72 liters, with another 110 liters hidden in the rear. Drop the seats and total capacity expands past 1,500 liters.
Where It Lands in the Market
With pricing around €55,000 in Europe, the Jungle Realm Edition enters near Rivian R1S and Kia EV9 territory, but it leans younger and bolder in character. It’s not quite as upscale as an EQE SUV, but it packs more personality than most of what’s out there.
