New 3+3 matrix LED headlights and a 12.3-inch digital cluster update the cabin and exterior.
2.9-Liter Twin-Turbo V6 Produces 520 HP
The Giulia Quadrifoglio retains its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6, with output increased to 520 hp for Europe, the UK and China.
Rather than changing the basic character of the powertrain, Alfa Romeo concentrated part of the update on how that output reaches the road. A mechanical limited-slip differential is fitted at the rear, using specific calibration derived from development work on the Giulia GTA.
The differential manages torque transfer between the rear wheels, with the aim of improving traction and maintaining stability through faster corners.
An Akrapovič exhaust system was also available as an option.
GTA-Derived Differential Changes the Rear Axle
The mechanical limited-slip differential is one of the more important technical changes to the updated Quadrifoglio.
Its calibration draws from the Giulia GTA program and is designed to distribute torque more effectively across the rear axle. Alfa Romeo links the change to greater stability, agility and cornering speed.
The Giulia remains rear-wheel drive, preserving the basic layout that has defined the Quadrifoglio since the current generation arrived.
Carbon Fiber Keeps Weight Under Control
Lightweight materials remain part of the Giulia Quadrifoglio's construction.
Aluminum is used for the engine, while carbon fiber appears in the transmission shaft, bonnet, rear spoiler and side skirts. The Giulia also retains its active carbon-fiber front splitter.
At speed, the splitter changes position to manage airflow beneath the front of the car. The system is intended to increase aerodynamic stability without permanently adding the drag associated with a fixed high-downforce setup.
New 3+3 Matrix LED Headlights Reshape the Front
The most visible change is the revised lighting signature.
Alfa Romeo introduced adaptive full-LED matrix headlights using a three-element arrangement on each side. The 3+3 graphic connects the Giulia with newer Alfa Romeo models while also recalling the triple-headlight treatment seen on earlier cars such as the SZ.
The matrix system can alter the light distribution according to driving conditions while limiting glare for other road users.
The Quadrifoglio retains Alfa Romeo's triangular shield grille, large lower air intakes and functional bonnet vents.
19-Inch Wheels Remain Standard on the Giulia
The Giulia Quadrifoglio uses dark-finished five-hole 19-inch alloy wheels.
Their traditional Alfa Romeo circular-hole design leaves much of the braking hardware visible, while red brake calipers were available as an option.
The wheels sit beneath the Giulia's compact sports-sedan proportions, with a long bonnet, short front overhang and rear-set passenger compartment reinforcing its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.
12.3-Inch Digital Cluster Adds a Race Display
A 12.3-inch TFT instrument display replaces the previous analog-focused arrangement while retaining Alfa Romeo's traditional telescopic binnacle design.
Drivers can select different layouts, with the Quadrifoglio receiving a dedicated Race configuration. This places the tachometer prominently in the center and displays the speedometer and shift-light information required during more focused driving.
Additional performance information can be positioned in configurable areas at the sides of the display.
Leather, Alcantara and 3D Carbon Fiber Shape the Cabin
Black sports leather is standard, while a combination of black leather and Alcantara was offered as an alternative.
The updated interior introduces a three-dimensional carbon-fiber finish across the dashboard, center tunnel and door panels. Carbon fiber also appears on the steering wheel, which combines leather and Alcantara with black stitching.
Rather than changing the Giulia's dashboard architecture, the update concentrates on materials and the new digital instrument panel.
Alfa Connect Services Remain Part of the Interface
The infotainment system incorporates Alfa Connect Services, bringing connected functions covering navigation, safety and vehicle information.
The central touchscreen works alongside physical controls on the console, while the digital instrument cluster places frequently used driving and performance information directly ahead of the driver.
For the Quadrifoglio, the Race display provides a more focused presentation than the standard layouts used during everyday driving.
Quadrifoglio Marks 100 Years in 2023
The update arrived during the centenary of Alfa Romeo's Quadrifoglio symbol.
The four-leaf clover first appeared on Ugo Sivocci's Alfa Romeo RL during the 1923 Targa Florio, where Sivocci took victory. It subsequently became associated with Alfa Romeo competition cars and, later, the company's highest-performance road models.
Alfa Romeo marked the anniversary separately with the Giulia Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario, limited to 100 examples. The regular updated Quadrifoglio shares major technical developments with that launch edition, including the 520-hp V6 and mechanical limited-slip differential.
