The real talking point is the new high-density battery cells, designed to support faster charging. Tesla suggests drivers can add up to 150 miles (≈243 km) of range in 15 minutes under ideal conditions — a key upgrade for long-distance usability.

Design & Hardware Tweaks

Visually, the Model Y Performance separates itself from the standard lineup with red brake calipers, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, and new 21-inch Arachnid wheels in staggered fitment. The bumpers have been subtly reshaped for a sportier stance.
Under the skin, adaptive dampers promise sharper handling without sacrificing ride comfort. Inside, buyers will find bolstered sport seats with extendable thigh support, improved ventilation, and new carbon fiber trim accents.
