  • Audi TT Moment 2.0 concept leaked ahead of IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich.

  • Built on Audi’s PPE electric platform, it signals a fully electric future for the TT lineage.

Audi TT Moment 2.0 Concept Leaks Before IAA Mobility 2025 In Munich

Leaked shots have provided an early glimpse of the Audi TT Moment 2.0 concept, a vehicle that brings the spirit of the 1998 TT into the electric age while taking the nameplate forward. The concept will be unveiled at the IAA Mobility Show 2025 in Munich.

Design Draws Inspiration From The First TT

The TT Moment 2.0 shares a strong visual resemblance with the first-generation TT, which was launched more than 25 years ago. The compact roofline, wind-cheating proportions, and low-slung stance recall the 1998 shape, but with sharper detailing and greater technical sophistication. Wideset grille geometry and slim LED headlights update the front, but the reduced surfacing echoes the geometric restraint which made the original TT a design benchmark.

Interestingly, the leaked images suggest the coupe concept carries multiple shut lines across the roof, giving it the look of a hard-top convertible rather than a conventional fixed-roof coupe. Whether this detail hints at a future production variant or remains a concept flourish, it adds another layer of intrigue to Audi’s reinterpretation of the TT.

Electric Architecture Underneath

Underneath the styling is a larger change. Although Audi hasn't provided details, the next TT is generally predicted to be based on the PPE electric platform, which it co-developed with Porsche. That structure accommodates dual-motor configurations, sophisticated torque splitting, and the sort of high-output capability appropriate to an upscale sports coupe.

The question will be how to maintain the agility and lightness the TT was famous for, but under the heavier conditions of an EV platform.

Debut At A Global Stage

Audi’s decision to reveal the TT Moment 2.0 at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich puts the concept at the center of one of Europe’s most important automotive stages. Surrounded by rivals presenting their own electric visions, the TT successor will serve less as a volume model and more as a statement of identity for Audi’s future design and EV strategy.

The first TT never outsold Audi sales charts, but its symbolic purpose was evident. It served as a design and brand image halo. The Moment 2.0 is poised to play the same role in the EV age.

What It Means For Audi

Resurrecting the TT as an electric sports coupe is both a tribute to the heritage and a risk. Coupes are not the center of the market anymore, and SUVs rule demand. But the TT Moment 2.0 demonstrates Audi still believes in making cars that exist primarily to evoke feeling.

Key questions remain: how close will the production model stay to this concept, where will it sit in Audi’s expanding EV lineup, and can it achieve the cultural resonance of the 1998 TT?
