2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 US Version

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 debuts as the brand’s largest and most refined EV yet.

  • Up to 335 miles of range and three-row comfort in one sleek, aerodynamic shell.

  • Positioned squarely against premium electric SUVs like the EV9 and EX90.

Bold in Size, Subtle in Shape

Hyundai isn’t trying to shout with the 2026 Ioniq 9. Instead, it’s making a confident statement through sheer presence and calm execution. This is the biggest EV Hyundai’s done so far, and you can see it in the proportions—long, stretched profile with a fast roofline and a tight rear taper that gives it almost wagon-like elegance. No antenna, no visual clutter. Just a low drag coefficient of 0.259 and clean lines that glide.

You still get the signature pixelated LED lights, and they sit smartly without begging for attention. There's a balance here—style without spectacle.

Three Rows, Big Comfort

Inside, the Ioniq 9 leans toward luxury but doesn’t flaunt it. The cabin is spacious. Not just on paper, but in actual feel. The second row can be had as a bench or a pair of captain’s chairs that swivel. There are massage functions too, if you spec it that way.

Up front, dual 12.3-inch displays sit under one clean glass surface—no tacked-on tablet vibe. Controls are mostly digital, but not confusing. There’s ambient lighting, soft-touch materials, and a general sense that Hyundai aimed for calm over flash.

Performance and Range That Go the Distance

It runs on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform with a 110.3 kWh battery underneath. The Long Range RWD version promises up to 335 miles (EPA estimate), which puts it in the same ballpark as the Tesla Model X or Rivian R1S. The AWD Performance trim offers 429 hp and a 0–60 mph time of 5.2 seconds—pretty swift for a near-2.7-ton SUV.

Charging? The 800V architecture means ultra-fast refueling: 10 to 80 percent in just over 20 minutes on a 350 kW charger. You won’t be stuck at a charging station long.

Target Market and Pricing

Hyundai is clearly nudging into premium territory here. Base pricing starts at $60,555 for the S RWD trim and stretches to just over $79,000 for the Performance AWD in Calligraphy trim. That’s competitive with the likes of the Kia EV9 GT-Line and Volvo EX90.

The Ioniq 9 will be built at the Metaplant in Georgia, which keeps it eligible for the $7,500 U.S. federal EV tax credit—for now.

There’s nothing showy or overdone about the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9. It’s just big, refined, and well-judged. This is Hyundai confidently stepping up to meet the EV expectations of families who want space, tech, and quiet competence.
