2026 Genesis GV70

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2026 Genesis GV70 introduces a massive 27-inch OLED display, enhancing the cabin's modern appeal.

  • Exterior updates include a refreshed grille, redesigned headlights, and new wheel options.

  • Powertrain options remain: a 300-hp turbocharged 2.5L I4 and a 375-hp twin-turbo 3.5L V6, both with AWD.

Outside: Minor Tweaks, Familiar Identity

Genesis didn’t mess with a good thing. The 2026 GV70 keeps its athletic stance but cleans up a few areas. The grille now has a tighter, more technical mesh. Headlights look slimmer, and there’s micro lens array tech inside — fancy words, but it shows in the way the lighting plays across the surface.

The front bumper’s been reshaped, and the side intakes are more pronounced. Around back, the turn signals are integrated into the taillight housing now, which makes for a neater look. New 19- and 21-inch wheel designs round out the changes. It’s all subtle — you probably won’t notice it in traffic, but it adds up in person.

Inside: Big Screen Energy

Step inside, and that’s where things get noticeably different. Genesis has slapped a huge 27-inch OLED display across the top of the dash — not two screens stitched together, but one continuous panel. It handles both the instrument cluster and infotainment duties. Minimal bezel. Looks sharp. Feels high-end.

The climate controls move to a touch panel lower on the dash. It’ll divide opinion, sure — not everyone loves tapping at icons while driving. But the cabin still feels well thought out. Wireless charging’s been moved closer to hand, and there’s new ambient lighting to match the upscale vibe.

Also, the steering wheel’s been redesigned. Slightly flatter bottom. New Genesis logo. Subtle stuff, but it keeps things feeling fresh.

Powertrain: Still Plenty of Muscle

Genesis didn’t fiddle under the hood — and honestly, no need. The 2026 GV70 still offers two engines. A 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder pushing 300 hp, or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 hp. Both pair with an 8-speed automatic and come with all-wheel drive as standard.

There’s also a new Terrain Mode system. Nothing hardcore, but handy if your driveway’s more snow than pavement half the year. Think of it as a light-touch off-road assist — mud, sand, snow presets included.

Rivals and Positioning: Holding Its Own

Genesis isn’t trying to reinvent the segment here — just keeping the GV70 competitive in a field packed with strong players like the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes GLC. At a starting MSRP of $47,985, it still undercuts most of them while offering a cabin and feature set that feels every bit as premium.

It’s not a dramatic overhaul, but the updates are enough to keep the GV70 sharp and relevant. For buyers who liked it before, this version just tightens the screws a bit more.
