2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed features a 641 hp twin-turbo V8, surpassing its W12 predecessor.

  • Enhanced dynamics include a new Sport mode, rear-wheel steering, and optional carbon-ceramic brakes.

  • Distinctive design elements and luxurious interior updates solidify its position in the ultra-luxury SUV segment.

V8 In, W12 Out — But It’s Quicker

Bentley’s playing it smart with the 2026 Bentayga Speed. Out goes the old W12. In comes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 — the same one you'll find in the Continental GT Speed. It pushes out 641 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to get this big boy to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and top out at 193 mph.

Yeah, faster than the old one.

They didn’t just drop in the engine and call it a day, either. There’s a new Sport mode that stiffens things up by 15%. Rear-wheel steering is standard now. So’s launch control. It's still huge, but you feel a bit more in control behind the wheel. You can even coax out a little tail action if you’re brave enough.

Louder, Meaner, Still a Bentley

This Bentayga doesn’t whisper. The standard sport exhaust gives it more bite, and if that’s not enough, there’s an optional Akrapovič titanium setup that brings the drama. Four tailpipes. Plenty of bark.

Visually, it's more dialed in. Darkened trim replaces the bling. The Speed badges are there, but not obnoxious. 22-inch wheels come standard — 23s are optional if you spring for the carbon-ceramic brakes.

And yes, there’s a black roof option. It works.

Inside, It’s Still a Private Jet

The interior hasn’t gone full race car. Still smells like fine leather. Still quieter than your living room. But there are subtle nods to performance — diamond-quilted seats, a darker finish on the air vents, and a two-tone color split that’s specific to the Speed.

It’s got four, five, or seven-seat options. No matter the layout, everything feels considered. You know it’s a Bentley the second you shut the door.

Luxury SUV, But Actually Fun Now

This isn’t just a cruiser. Bentley clearly wanted to give drivers more to work with — and they have. Rear-wheel steering makes tight turns easier. The suspension firms up when needed but stays compliant when you’re not pushing it. That balance is hard to find in this segment.

Is it chasing down a Urus? Not quite — but it’s closer now. And with a projected starting price hovering around $280,000, it better be.
