  • Extended Range: Up to 725 km (CLTC) on a single charge.

  • Rapid Charging: 5C battery enables 10–80% charge in just 12 minutes.

  • AI-Driven Autonomy: Vision-only system powered by dual Nvidia Orin X chips.

Sharper Design, Longer Form

At first glance, the 2025 XPeng P7 doesn’t scream "new gen"—and that’s likely intentional. It refines what already worked: a clean, coupe-style profile, stretched slightly for better stance and roominess. Now 5,056 mm long with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, it finally feels full-size in the back seat.

Design tweaks are subtle but effective. The front fascia looks lower, a bit more focused, and the drag coefficient is now down to a wind-slicing 0.206. Pixel-style lighting and an active grille shutter add that typical EV design flourish. It’s aerodynamic without looking like it's trying too hard.

Performance and Battery Options

Under the metal, there’s more to talk about. Built on XPeng’s new SEPA 2.0 platform, the P7 comes with two battery setups:

  • A 60.7 kWh LFP pack good for around 602 to 615 km

  • A larger 76.3 kWh option offering up to 725 km, at least on the CLTC cycle

But the standout is the flagship 74.9 kWh version that supports 5C ultra-fast charging. It gets from 10 to 80 percent in just 12 minutes under optimal conditions—an area where XPeng is aiming to leave competitors behind.

Depending on trim, 0–100 km/h comes in at around 5.9 seconds. So no, it’s not a performance freak like some dual-motor Teslas, but it’ll hold its own without drama.

More Tech, Less Clutter Inside

The interior is every bit as clean as you’d expect. A 15.6-inch floating center screen handles infotainment, while a smaller 10.25-inch digital cluster sits in front of the driver. Nothing radical, but nothing feels cheap or overly plastic either.

The rear gets some love too—an 8-inch touchscreen allows passengers to tweak everything from seat position to media. Ventilated, heated, and even massaging seats (front and rear) help push the P7 into comfort territory. Bonus points for the panoramic roof and 20-speaker Dynaudio sound system.

Autonomy: Vision-Only and All In

XPeng is going big on autonomous tech with what it calls “AI Hawk.” Forget LiDAR—this system uses 11 cameras, 3 mmWave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, powered by dual Nvidia Orin X chips. It’s all vision-based, and XPeng claims it can handle complex urban conditions.

Is it full autonomy? Not yet. But it’s closer to that future than most EVs in its price range.

Price and Where It Stands

Starting around $26,000 in China, the XPeng P7 makes a strong argument for value in the midsize EV sedan space. Think Tesla Model 3 or BYD Seal rival, but with its own look, feel, and some ambitious hardware under the skin.

In all, the 2025 XPeng P7 isn’t chasing flash. It’s a calculated update—smarter, better looking, and clearly more mature than its predecessor. And that may be exactly what buyers want.
