Inspired by track performance and developed through rigorous testing at circuits like Fuji International Speedway, the GR Corolla’s engine torque has been enhanced to 295 lb.-ft., aligning with the Morizo special edition from 2023. The suspension has also been updated for improved cornering dynamics, providing a more controlled driving experience.

The 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission (DAT) is engineered for precise downshifts. It uses advanced software to monitor brake and accelerator inputs, optimizing gear selection and anticipating driver behavior for smoother transitions. The closer gear ratios of the eight-speed transmission help maximize power delivery, making it ideal for track driving as well as everyday highway cruising. Tested extensively in real-world conditions, the transmission demonstrated robust performance across various terrains, including snow-covered roads, and was even used in the Japan Rally Championship and Super Taikyu Series.
