2025 Toyota Camry Nightshade

2025 Toyota Camry Nightshade
By Team Dailyrevs May 2, 2025
The 2025 Toyota Camry Nightshade introduces a bold "hammerhead" front design, aligning with Toyota's updated styling seen on models like the Crown and Prius.
-
This edition offers a choice between a 2.5-liter gasoline engine producing 201 hp and a hybrid system delivering 225 hp, catering to both performance enthusiasts and eco-conscious drivers.
-
Inside, the Camry Nightshade boasts dual 12.3-inch displays, a JBL premium audio system, and advanced safety features, enhancing both comfort and security.
A Familiar Name, Now With Some Bite
Toyota's at it again. The 2025 Camry Nightshade doesn't try to reinvent the midsize sedan, but it gives it a hell of a facelift. The new “hammerhead” front end—same idea as what we’ve seen on the latest Prius and Crown—gives the Camry a lower, wider, more planted look. Sharper grille. More aggressive stance. The C-shaped LED DRLs and dual projector lamps add some real presence.
And that Nightshade trim? Still all black accents, including the grille, mirror caps, and window moldings. Black 19-inch wheels seal the deal. The Camry hasn’t looked this purposeful in years.
Under the Hood: Familiar but Better
Buyers get two flavors here. First up, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 201 horsepower (181 hp for FWD and 205 hp for AWD, to be exact). Paired with an 8-speed auto. It’s not going to light your hair on fire, but it’s solid for everyday driving.
Then there’s the hybrid setup. Also based on a 2.5-liter engine but boosted by Toyota’s fifth-gen hybrid tech. Combined output is 225 hp. Not huge on paper, but the power delivery’s smooth and predictable. It also uses an e-CVT, which some folks will love, others won’t. Either way, efficiency’s the name of the game here.
Tech and Interior: Clean, Modern, Not Overdone
Inside, the Camry Nightshade brings Toyota’s new interior layout with dual 12.3-inch screens—one for the digital cluster and one for infotainment. They’re sharp, bright, and thankfully not overly complex. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard, as does a 9-speaker JBL audio system. There’s also a 10-inch head-up display and a wireless charging pad tucked under the center stack.
The vibe is upscale without trying too hard. Materials feel better than in older Camrys, and the panoramic sunroof doesn’t hurt either.
Safety and Driver Assistance: The Full Suite
No half-measures here—Toyota Safety Sense is standard. That includes pre-collision with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams. It’s the kind of stuff that quietly does its job and makes life easier behind the wheel.
Availability and Pricing
Toyota says the 2025 Camry Nightshade will hit dealers later this year. Starting price? $28,485 for the SE Nightshade, and $30,615 for the hybrid version. Competitive with the likes of the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata, though this new styling might give it an edge in the showroom.
All told, it’s the same Camry formula—just sharper, more confident, and finally wearing a face that doesn’t play it safe.
