2025 Skoda L K 130 Concept

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2025 Škoda L&K 130 Concept is a student-built tribute to the 1970s Škoda 130, reimagined for modern urban cyclists.

  • Fully electric platform, purpose-built bike carriers, and smart cabin detailing reflect cycling culture integration.

  • Retro-inspired body lines meet EV practicality—this is design education with real-world polish.

Retro Proportions, Modern Surface Language

The 2025 Škoda L&K 130 Concept immediately feels like a throwback—boxy, upright, and full of honest charm. The design is a direct nod to the classic Škoda 130 of the 1970s and ’80s, but it’s been pared down and smoothed out. Flush glazing, crisp panel lines, and a matte-white paint scheme give it a tidy, almost architectural feel.

Even the badging is subtle. Laser-etched “L&K” emblems sit where a traditional grille might’ve gone, giving the front end a clean face while staying instantly recognizable to Škoda enthusiasts.

Built by Students, Designed for Cyclists

This isn’t a boardroom concept. The L&K 130 was built by 25 students at the Škoda Academy, part of the brand’s long-running tradition of student-designed showcase vehicles.

What’s different this time is how the concept focuses not on being futuristic—but on being useful. Designed specifically for cyclists, the rear cargo system features a clever integrated bike rack, neatly folded into the tailgate. It pulls out like a drawer and holds two full-size bicycles without the need for separate hardware.

It’s the kind of feature that feels more innovative than flashy—and that’s what makes it work.

Urban EV with Honest Intentions

Built on the MEB electric platform, the L&K 130 skips the usual EV gimmicks. No oversized screens, no light-up logos, no posturing. Just a compact electric vehicle with a solid stance, upright greenhouse, and short overhangs.

It feels like a cousin to the Honda e or upcoming Renault 5 EV—small enough to fit anywhere, but styled with care. The body proportions keep things grounded, while gloss black wheels and a simplified rear profile reinforce the concept’s urban agility.

Interior Focused on Simplicity and Utility

Inside, the design is stripped back but smart. A low, horizontal dashboard, small digital display, and circular air vents set the tone. Materials are sustainable—recycled fabrics, aluminum finishes—and the bike-oriented theme continues subtly: pedal-textured footrests, grippy handles, and floor storage suited to helmets or hydration packs.

It’s more than a styling exercise. It’s a space made for real users—cyclists, commuters, and the design-aware.

A Concept With Real-World Cred

The L&K 130 isn’t heading to production, but it tells a bigger story. It’s about Škoda thinking more holistically—not just about EV range and power, but about lifestyle and community.

In a segment crowded with hyper-digital EVs, this concept quietly asserts that form, function, and heritage can still matter.
