2025 Renault 4 E Tech Electric Techno

By Team Dailyrevs

  • The 2025 Renault 4 E-Tech Electric reimagines the R4 as a compact crossover EV with retro styling and modern underpinnings.

  • Offers two battery options with up to 400 km WLTP range and fast-charging capability.

  • Targets the B-segment EV market alongside rivals like the Fiat 600e and Citroën ë-C3.

Renault’s new 4 E-Tech doesn’t try to hide its DNA. One look and you’ll catch the clear homage to the original R4 — that boxy silhouette, tall roofline, and circular lighting signature all play the nostalgia card. But this is no museum piece.

Underneath the vintage nods, there’s balance in the surfacing and just enough contouring to keep things aerodynamic. The proportions are tight — just over 4.1 meters long and 1.8 wide — which makes it ideal for European cities. But the elevated ride and squat stance give it crossover presence.

Interior: Simple, Functional, Comfortable

Inside, it's clean functionality over futuristic panache. There's a digital instrument cluster, a middle touchscreen with Renault's OpenR Link system, and some clever storage places. No tricks here — just practical layout and just enough tech to make it current.

Materials and textures feel carefully considered, but this isn’t trying to compete with luxury crossovers. It's aimed at buyers who want something usable, honest, and not boring.

Battery Options and Performance

Renault’s AmpR Small platform underpins the 4 E-Tech, the same one used by its sibling, the Renault 5. Two battery options are on offer: 40 kWh and 52 kWh. The smaller one should deliver around 300 km of range on the WLTP cycle, while the larger stretches that to 400 km.

Power output tops out at 150 hp, enough to get from 0–100 km/h in a little over 8 seconds — not fast, but quick enough for city and suburban life.
And with 100 kW DC fast charging, it’ll go from 15 to 80% in about 30 minutes. No long coffee breaks needed.

Where It Fits in the EV Landscape

Pricing is expected to start around €29,400 — which puts it in a hotly contested space. Fiat’s 600e, Citroën’s ë-C3, and even cheaper Chinese imports are breathing down its neck. What Renault’s banking on is character. The 4 E-Tech has it in spades — from its heritage cues to the subtle design restraint.

It won’t be the fastest or the fanciest.
But it might just be the most likable.

The 2025 Renault 4 E-Tech Electric walks a fine line — retro without being kitsch, functional without being forgettable. For drivers who want an EV with personality but don’t need max horsepower or premium flash, this compact crossover could be the sweet spot. And yeah, the fact it tips its hat to a French icon? That doesn’t hurt either.
