2025 Opel Mokka GSE Rally Concept

By Team Dailyrevs

  • Opel unveils the 2025 Mokka GSE Rally Concept, an all-electric rally car developed under FIA's new eRally5 regulations.

  • The prototype boasts 280 hp and 345 Nm of torque, featuring a 54 kWh battery and rally-specific enhancements.

  • Debuted at the ELE Rally Eindhoven, the Mokka GSE Rally showcases Opel's commitment to electric motorsport innovation.

Electrification Meets Gravel Ambition

The 2025 Opel Mokka GSE Rally Concept isn’t here for showboating — it’s here to compete. Introduced at the ELE Rally Eindhoven, it’s the first concept rally vehicle built to meet the FIA’s eRally5 regulations. What that means? A street-style SUV silhouette built with stage grit and electric guts. This isn’t Opel’s first foray into electric rallying — the Corsa Rally Electric paved the way — but the Mokka GSE brings more presence, more height, and a more aggressive attitude.

Exterior: Shouty, Purposeful, and All Business

You can’t miss it. That “OMG! GSE” livery splashed across the Mokka’s compact body is loud in the best way. There’s function behind the flair too — yellow brake calipers, rally-spec wheels, and a roof scoop that screams motorsport. The black hood, the “Mokka GSE RALLY” graphics, and the beefed-up stance all drive the message home: this car is made to be airborne, sideways, or both.

Electric Drivetrain with Rally Focus

Underneath the showy bodywork, the Mokka GSE Rally packs a serious electric punch. A 207 kW (280 hp) electric motor pushes 345 Nm of torque to the ground via a motorsport-grade transmission. Power comes from a 54 kWh battery that’s been ruggedized for rallying conditions. The electric drivetrain works with a racing gearbox and limited-slip differential — the real deal, not just a software sim.

Built to Take a Beating

The suspension setup isn’t just a tweaked road version — it’s rally-issue Bilstein. Reinforced McPhersons up front, a rigid axle with revised dampers and springs at the back. There’s also a welded-in roll cage and proper underbody protection. It’s not lightweight in the featherweight sense, but everything unnecessary is stripped. This includes electronic driver aids — no ESP, no traction control, no ABS. It’s raw driving.

Inside the Cockpit: No Frills, All Function

Inside, the rally version of the Mokka is all about purpose. Racing seats with six-point belts, a digital racing dash, and a multifunctional rally wheel fill the stripped cabin. It’s all laid out for function, not form — which makes sense when you're bouncing between trees at speed.

Electric Rally’s Next Chapter

With this concept, Opel’s making it clear they’re committed to electric motorsport — and not just on paper. The Mokka GSE Rally Concept serves as a proof-of-concept for how mainstream electric cars can evolve into legitimate stage contenders. It’s not just about clean air; it’s about high-stakes, high-speed performance. Rivals like Renault and Skoda will be watching closely.

In all, the 2025 Opel Mokka GSE Rally Concept isn’t a design study or a quiet concept car. It’s loud, electric, and aiming straight for the dirt.
