SAIC MAXUS Expands EV Lineup with the 2025 Maxus eTerron 9

SAIC MAXUS, a subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), revealed the 2025 Maxus eTerron 9 at the IAA International Motor Show in Hannover. This 4x4 electric serial pickup truck, built on a dedicated EV platform, highlights the company’s advancements in sustainable transportation and innovation in Europe.

A Leader in Electric Vans and Pickups

MAXUS, a global leader in van electrification, has introduced five EV models this year and plans to expand with ten additional models in 2025. The Maxus eTerron 9 stands out with its 430 km WLTP range, tackling range anxiety with advanced battery technology.

  • The 2025 Maxus eTerron 9 is Europe’s first 4x4 electric serial pickup truck, built on a dedicated EV platform.
  • The vehicle offers a 430 km range (WLTP) with a Tetris Battery pack featuring a 102 kWh capacity and nine-cell protective design.
  • A semi-monocoque body structure enhances safety and durability while using submarine-grade ultra-high-strength steel for 73% of its framework.
  • Dual permanent magnet synchronous motors deliver 325 kW power, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.8 seconds.
  • The eTerron 9 supports a towing capacity of 3.5 tons and a maximum payload of 620 kg, leading in its category.
