About the Car

2025 Ford Ranger PHEV European Version

Ford Ranger PHEV World Premiere at IAA Transportation 2024

Ford Pro introduced the 2025 Ford Ranger PHEV European Version at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover. This plug-in hybrid pick-up combines local emission-free driving with robust off-road capabilities, maintaining both trailer load and payload performance. By launching the Ranger PHEV, Ford Pro strengthens its leadership in the European pick-up market, expanding its line-up of battery-electric and electrified models.

  • Ford Pro introduces the 2025 Ford Ranger Wildtrak X and Ranger Tremor, aimed at improving off-road capability for tough driving conditions.
  • Both models feature a reworked chassis and come equipped with Bilstein dampers as standard to enhance off-road performance.
  • Advanced off-road technologies, such as Trail Turn Assist and Trail Control, are standard, improving vehicle handling and control in difficult terrains.
  • The Wildtrak X has an increased ride height of 26 mm and a 30 mm wider track for better stability on rugged terrains.
  • Powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBlue bi-turbo diesel engine, the Wildtrak X generates 500 Nm of torque and 205 PS, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
  • The full-time four-wheel drive system provides better handling in challenging off-road environments.
  • Rock Crawl mode optimizes throttle response and traction control for slow, controlled movement over rocky terrains.
  • The Wildtrak X exterior features underbody protection, Asphalt Black grille surround, and 17-inch black alloy wheels with all-terrain tires.
  • Inside, the model includes Miko suede-trimmed seats and Cyber Orange stitching on the dashboard and door trims for a refined look.
  • The Flexible Rack System is available as an option for the Wildtrak X, offering a solution for carrying long items over the roof, freeing up bed space.

Power and Performance

With a maximum torque of 690 Nm, the Ranger PHEV surpasses its predecessors in performance. This model enhances off-road capabilities and towing capacity, making it ideal for both work and leisure. Its electric driving range of up to 50 km further increases its versatility for short-distance travel without emissions.

Ford Pro Power Onboard

A new feature in the Ranger PHEV is the Ford Pro Power Onboard system, which provides up to 6.9 kW of electricity from the traction battery. This allows the user to power tools and appliances directly from the vehicle, eliminating the need for external power generators, whether at work or while camping.
