2025 Engler Mosslr

2025 Engler Mosslr
By Team Dailyrevs May 24, 2025
Engler Automotive unveils the Mosslr, a limited-run hypercar inspired by the Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss.
-
Three powertrain options: base V8 with 740 hp, V8 Performance with 986 hp, and a V12 Collector's Edition with 838 hp.
-
Production limited to 75 units, with prices starting at €710,000.
Design: A Familiar Shape, But Sharpened
Engler’s Mosslr doesn’t shy away from nostalgia. From a distance, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a rebodied SLR Stirling Moss — the long hood, no windshield, and exposed cockpit all play the hits. But look closer and it’s clearly 2025. The lighting is slim and modern, the surfacing tighter. There’s a clean LED strip at the back and subtle aero tweaks that don’t mess with the proportions too much.
It still looks like it wants to be driven fast, by someone wearing goggles. But now that person might be holding a carbon fiber steering wheel.
Performance: All Gas, No Apologies
No EV powertrain here. Engler’s going all-in on combustion — and it’s glorious. You’ve got three engine choices, all delivering serious power.
-
The base V8 makes 740 hp and cracks 200 mph. That alone would be wild.
-
But then there’s a V8 Performance version. 986 hp. Engler says it’ll break 217 mph.
-
The wild card is a V12 Collector’s Edition, putting out 838 hp — not the fastest of the trio, but arguably the most desirable for engine nerds.
That the V8 outguns the V12 might ruffle a few feathers, but this car was built to stir things up anyway.
The Numbers Game: Build Slots, Pricing, and Timeline
Engler isn’t chasing volume. They’re capping the Mosslr at 75 units — a nod to the original Stirling Moss SLR’s rarity.
The starting price? €710,000. Later units will jump to €790,000, which makes that refundable €20,000 deposit feel like a small price for a place in line.
First build is expected to roll out in 6–9 months, doubling as both a demo and a test platform. After that, production will be slow and steady — around 2 to 3 cars per month.
Where It Fits (Or Doesn’t)
Honestly, it doesn’t. The 2025 Engler Mosslr isn’t gunning for Rimac, Pininfarina, or even AMG. It’s doing its own thing — bringing emotion, nostalgia, and chaos back into a world of buttoned-up, tech-laden hypercars.
There’s no screen overload. No software bragging. Just a seat, an engine, and an open road. And sometimes, that’s all you want.
