The Audi A6 e-tron concept was introduced at the Auto Shanghai 2021 trade fair, signaling the arrival of a new family of all-electric models. Audi is now launching the A6 e-tron in both Sportback and Avant forms, representing the second model on the PPE platform. This upper mid-size vehicle exemplifies Audi's commitment to performance, range, efficiency, and charging capabilities, featuring a flat floor concept for the first time. The exterior design is powerful and sporty, while the interior reflects Audi's new design philosophy. Innovative features such as second-generation virtual exterior mirrors, a panoramic glass roof with switchable opacity, and illuminated rear rings are available. The A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron can be ordered from September 2024, with the A6 Sportback e-tron starting at 75,600 euros and the S6 Sportback e-tron at 99,500 euros.

Audi's history of superior aerodynamics continues with the A6 e-tron, achieving a cw value of 0.21 for the Sportback and 0.24 for the Avant. Aerodynamic optimizations include air curtains, a controllable cool-air intake, and a highly sealed underbody. The Avant variant features additional aerodynamic elements such as side spoilers and a low roof edge spoiler. Various wheel designs contribute to the aerodynamic efficiency, including a 21-inch aero wheel with plastic covers.
