Skoda has revealed the second generation of its popular Kodiaq SUV. The new model features updated styling, improved efficiency, and new technology.
Exterior Design
The 2024 Kodiaq has a more powerful appearance thanks to squared-off wheel arches and Skoda's new logo. The SUV is 61mm longer than before, providing extra interior space. Aerodynamics are also improved with a lower drag coefficient of 0.282.
At the front, the Kodiaq features Skoda's latest LED Matrix headlights and a wide grille with an optional illuminated strip. The tailgate is larger for easier loading. The Kodiaq rides on 17 to 20-inch alloy wheels and is available in 9 exterior colors.
Interior Updates
Inside, the Kodiaq has a redesigned cabin with new "Smart Dials" below the 10 or 13-inch central touchscreen. These allow quick access to functions like climate control and driving modes. A digital cockpit and optional head-up display provide enhanced displays.
The SUV offers more rear legroom and up to 2,105 liters of cargo capacity. New features include ventilated front seats, a phone box with wireless charging, and sustainable materials made from recycled polyester and coffee waste.
Powertrain Options
For the first time, the Kodiaq is available as a plug-in hybrid with a 150kW system output and 100km electric range. The lineup also includes a 150kW mild-hybrid petrol, 110kW and 142kW diesel options, and a high-power 150kW petrol with all-wheel drive. All engines meet the latest Euro 6 emissions standards.
Safety and Technology
The new Kodiaq introduces advanced driver aids like Collision Avoidance Assist, Remote Park Assist, and Exit Warning. Existing systems like Travel Assist are also improved. Up to 9 airbags provide protection.
With permanent internet connectivity, the SUV offers over-the-air updates, online route planning, and mobile services through Skoda Connect.
Overall, the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq brings updated styling, interior space, technology, and powertrain options while building on the strengths of the popular original SUV.
