SEAT is refreshing its successful Ateca with the introduction of the 2020 version. The revamped vehicle will build on its SUV attributes, adding a refreshed and more emotional appearance both inside and outside, a fully connected user experience, improved levels of safety, comfort and efficiency.

Customers can purchase a new SEAT Ateca SE 1.0 TSI manual from £23,670 on the road. Expected to be the most popular model, the 1.5-litre TSI 150PS SE Technology, costs less than the outgoing model, now £26,355. The 300PS 2.0 TSI CUPRA Ateca is available from £39,050.

At its launch in 2016, the SEAT Ateca brought a new dimension to the mid-size SUV market; the perfect match for urban and country life, offering a spacious, practical and versatile SUV with a unique style. Refreshed for 2020, SEAT has evolved the unique character and design of the Ateca, reinvigorating the SUV with added advanced technology, safety features and greater comfort.

The SEAT Ateca is designed and developed in Barcelona, and produced in Kvasiny (Czech Republic), refreshing the line-up of SUVs, alongside the compact Arona and larger Tarraco, in a segment that is growing every year in popularity as customers look for design and function in a single package.

The SEAT Ateca has already proven itself an important player in the market, with sales increasing each year since its introduction in 2016. To date it’s sold over 300,000 units, and in 2019 alone nearly 100,000 vehicles rolled off the production line. In the UK, more than 40,000 have been sold since its launch.

The new SEAT Ateca 2020 is an evolution of the original product and it aims at continuing with its success by consolidating our position in one of the most important market segments,”said SEAT’s President and CUPRA CEO, Wayne Griffiths.

“The SUV segment sales had a very positive impact to the company’s results in 2019. 44 per cent of the cars sold by SEAT globally last year were either Ateca, Arona or Tarraco models. With the new Ateca 2020, we believe we are in a good position to keep our positive results in the segment”.

The design has been reinvigorated with the new SEAT design language, adding greater confidence to the Ateca’s unique personality and character, while bringing an additonal degree of versatility, whether it’s being driven on urban roads or further afield.

The ever increasing needs of our connected world is also catered for; the new SEAT Ateca gives customers the opportunity to take their digital lives with them into the vehicle, and ensure they remain in touch even when they’re out of the car. The compact SUV offers connectivity powered by the latest infotainment technology with Full Link – wireless access to both Android Auto and Apple’s CarPlay – wireless (compatible) smartphone charging and online-based functions and services, with in-car apps available that expand the customer’s driving experience.

The SEAT Ateca now integrates some of the most advanced driver assistance systems available, including Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, Side and Exit Assist and Front Assist with Pre-Crash braking. The technologies make the compact SUV safer and more convenient no matter what scenario customers find themselves driving in.
