As Michael Schätzle, Vice-President of Product Line Cayenne, states, this is “one of the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche.” The Cayenne showcases HD Matrix Design LED headlights, an air quality system, and even an optional front passenger display inspired by the Taycan. With an updated design and a more potent engine family, the Cayenne aims to be the most engaging vehicle in its segment.

Embracing the Porsche Driver Experience: Digitized and Driver-Focused The new Cayenne’s interior boasts a thoroughly revised display and control concept, known as the Porsche Driver Experience, first seen in the Porsche Taycan. This design prioritizes the driver and optimizes functionality. Frequently used features are placed directly on or next to the steering wheel, with a gear selector now on the dashboard, providing additional storage on the center console. The elegant black panel design incorporates large, easily accessible controls and a haptic volume knob for optimum usability.

Striking the Perfect Balance: Digital Meets Analog in the Cayenne Cockpit The Cayenne’s redesigned cockpit features a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster with a curved, freestanding design and customizable display options. An optional optimized head-up display is also available. The standard 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management (PCM) display seamlessly integrates into the dashboard, offering access to essential vehicle functions. Native apps like Spotify® and Apple Music® are included for enhanced connectivity. For the first time, a 10.9-inch display is available for the front passenger, displaying performance data, separate access to infotainment controls, and even video streaming capabilities. A special screen layer ensures the driver cannot view this display.

Elevating Style and Customization: Refined Design and Innovative Technology The 2024 Porsche Cayenne showcases a revamped front end, athletic fenders, a new hood, and redesigned headlights, emphasizing its commanding presence. The rear end features three-dimensional taillights, uncluttered surfaces, and a sleek rear fascia with an integrated license plate holder. Choose from three new colors: Algarve Blue Metallic, Montego Blue Metallic, and Arctic Grey. The optional Lightweight Sport Package shaves up to 72 lbs. off the Cayenne Coupé’s weight, and an extensive range of 20, 21, and 22-inch wheels adds to the high degree of customization.

Enhanced Driving Assistance: New and Optimized Systems The 2024 Cayenne now offers a comprehensive range of new and improved driving assistance systems. Standard Active Speed Limit Assist takes Traffic Sign Recognition into account during cruise control. The optional Adaptive Cruise Control features two new functions: Evasion Assist, which aids the driver in emergency obstacle avoidance maneuvers between 31 and 93 mph, and Turn Assist, which monitors oncoming traffic during left-hand turns at speeds up to 6 mph and stops the vehicle if a collision is imminent. The optional Porsche InnoDrive now includes Active Lane Keep and Intersection Assist, providing greater assistance in traffic jams and on highways.

Balancing Comfort and Performance: Advanced Suspension Technology The 2024 Porsche Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne E-Hybrid come standard with steel spring suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). New two-valve shock absorbers with separate rebound and compression stages optimize performance across all driving situations. Improved comfort at low speeds, handling during dynamic cornering, and pitch and roll management are noticeable enhancements. The optional adaptive air suspension (standard on Cayenne Turbo GT) with two-chamber, two-valve technology further elevates the driving experience, offering compliant suspension characteristics and stabilizing on-road and off-road handling. This advanced suspension system also enhances driving precision, reduces body movements during dynamic driving, and provides a sharper differentiation between Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus driving modes.

The Exciting Return of the V8: Cayenne S Models The 2024 Porsche Cayenne debuts with three distinct engines, including an extensively refined twin-turbo four-liter V8 engine for the Cayenne S, replacing the previous V6 engine. This new V8 generates 468 hp and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, boasting 34 hp and 37 lb.-ft. more than its six-cylinder predecessor. With the Sport Chrono Package, both the SUV and SUV Coupé models reach 60 mph in as little as 4.4 seconds, with a top track speed of 169 mph. The standard Cayenne features an optimized three-liter V6 single-turbo engine, now producing 348 hp and 368 lb.-ft., a 13 hp and 36 lb.-ft. increase from the previous version.

Efficient Performance: The Cayenne E-Hybrid The six-cylinder engine serves as the foundation for the Cayenne E-Hybrid’s powertrain, which now combines with a 174 hp electric motor for a total output of 463 hp. The new high-voltage battery’s capacity has increased from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh, with EPA range estimates available shortly before launch. An 11 kW on-board AC charger reduces charging time to under two and a half hours at a suitable power source. Optimized e-hybrid driving modes focus on enhancing the vehicle’s efficiency.

Exhilarating Top Model: The Cayenne Turbo GT The Cayenne Turbo GT, designed for maximum on-road performance, includes standard features such as Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), rear-axle steering, a Sport Exhaust system with titanium tailpipes, and 22-inch GT Design wheels fitted with ultra-high-performance tires. The twin-turbo four-liter V8 engine’s output is now 650 hp, propelling the Cayenne Turbo GT from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and reaching a top track speed of 189 mph. This model is available exclusively as a Coupé, benefiting from all the optimizations and innovations of the model series.

Impressive Standard Equipment: Starting at $79,200 The 2024 Cayenne models’ standard equipment now features Matrix Design LED headlights, Porsche Active Suspension Management, 20-inch wheels (22-inch wheels for Cayenne Turbo GT), Lane Change Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Comfort Access keyless entry, and a smartphone tray with inductive charging up to 15 watts. The new Cayenne starts at $79,200 (Coupé from $84,300), the Cayenne E-Hybrid at $91,700 (Coupé from $95,700), the Cayenne S at $95,700 (Coupé from $102,100), and the Cayenne Turbo GT at $196,300. All prices exclude the $1,650 delivery, processing, and handling fee. The 2024 models are available for order now, with U.S. dealer arrival anticipated in Summer 2023
