2024 Opel Corsa

Opel CEO Florian Huettl shared his excitement, stating, “The Opel Corsa has been a bestseller for over 40 years. We are proud that it has been the best-selling small car in Germany for the past two years and the overall best-selling car in the United Kingdom in 2021. The new Corsa is a testament to our commitment to continuously improving and modernizing this beloved model. With its striking design, cutting-edge technologies, and environmentally friendly electric and hybrid options, we aim to inspire our customers and show them what a small car can offer in today’s world.”

Unveiling the Exquisite Design: Opel Vizor Takes Center Stage

With its perfect proportions and meticulous attention to detail, the new Opel Corsa showcases a bold and refined appearance. The standout feature is the Opel Vizor, a distinctive brand face that characterizes all new Opel models. This sleek black “visor” seamlessly integrates the vehicle grille, LED headlights, and the central Opel Blitz logo. Depending on the trim level, the logo is presented in eye-catching black or matt satin silver. The Corsa’s dynamic presence is further enhanced by the larger and more prominent “air inlets” on the lower front bumper. From the side, the Corsa’s characteristic lines leave a lasting impression, while the rear reveals a clear identity with the centrally positioned Corsa nameplate. The addition of the elegant Grafik Grey paintwork adds a touch of refinement to the Corsa’s overall appeal.

Intuitive and Streamlined: A Fresh Approach to the Cockpit

The new Opel Corsa prioritizes comfort and innovation, creating a modern and inviting interior. Fresh seat patterns, an updated shift lever, and a redesigned steering wheel contribute to the overall ambiance. The highlight of the cockpit is the optional fully digital display and infotainment system. Powered by Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, this integrated solution offers enhanced graphics, multimedia capabilities, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. It ensures a seamless and adaptable experience, tailored to passengers’ preferences. The navigation system features connected services, natural speech recognition through “Hey Opel,” and over-the-air updates. The 10-inch color touchscreen display and driver information display provide crystal-clear visuals, allowing essential information to be easily accessed. Furthermore, the new Corsa introduces wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling seamless integration with compatible smartphones and wireless charging.

Enhanced Lighting System: Intelli-Lux LED® Matrix Light

Since its introduction in 2019, the Corsa’s adaptive Intelli-Lux LED® matrix light has set new standards in the small car segment. Building on this success, Opel engineers have further improved the system for the new Corsa. With 14 individually controllable LED elements, the lighting experience is even more precise, providing excellent visibility while minimizing glare for other road users. In addition to advanced lighting, the Corsa is equipped with a range of cutting-edge driver assistance systems. These include a high-resolution panoramic rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, speed limiter, flank guard, and forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. These features ensure a safer and more relaxing driving experience.

Power and Efficiency Redefined: Corsa Electric and Hybrid Options

Opel is committed to becoming a fully electric brand in Europe by 2028, and the Corsa has played a vital role in this transformation. The Corsa-e, the brand’s all-electric variant, has been recognized for its achievements, including winning the prestigious “Golden Steering Wheel” in 2020. The new Corsa Electric builds upon this success, offering customers an even broader range of choices, increased power, improved battery capacity, and extended driving range. Two electric drive options are available: a 100 kW/136 hp variant with a range of up to 357 kilometers and a more powerful 115 kW/156 hp version with a range of up to 402 kilometers according to WLTP standards. In addition to its efficiency, the Corsa Electric delivers exhilarating performance, thanks to its electric power and 260 Newton meters of torque. Fast charging capability enables the battery to reach 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes (20-80 percent). Excitingly, Opel is also introducing hybrid options with a 48-volt system, providing customers with even more choices. The 74 kW/100 hp and 100 kW/136 hp engines come paired with a new dual-clutch automatic transmission, further expanding the range of economical powertrain options.
