Team Mitsubishi RALLIART will be participating in AXCR 2023 with three skilled drivers: Chayapon Yotha (Thailand), last year's AXCR champion; Rifat Sungkar (Indonesia), who secured the 5th position overall last year; and Katsuhiko Taguchi (Japan), the winner of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship in 1999 and 2010. Throughout the rally, the team will be supported by the Delica D:5, a versatile minivan with SUV-like road handling and MPV-level comfort. Team director Hiroshi Masuoka and Mitsubishi Motors engineers will accompany the team, providing analysis, formulating strategies, and offering technical support at the service park.

Commenting on the upcoming competition, Team Mitsubishi RALLIART's director, Hiroshi Masuoka, expressed great enthusiasm for the all-new Triton's performance. The rally cars have undergone extensive endurance testing in Japan and Thailand, covering over 2,000 km with no significant issues. Their capabilities have been confirmed across various stages, from flat dirt high-speed stretches to muddy low-speed segments. With three rally cars vying for the top spot, the team aims to secure another consecutive victory and claim the championship podium.

In celebration of the 55th anniversary of Delica, Mitsubishi Motors will provide four Delica D:5 support cars to assist Team Mitsubishi Ralliart. Leveraging the Delica D:5's robust body and electronically-controlled 4WD system, these support cars offer optimal maneuverability and road handling in any weather or tough conditions. Customized with aluminum wheels from WORK and mud-terrain Yokohama Rubber tires, the Delica D:5 support cars can navigate through flat dirt and mud with exceptional performance. Additionally, the vehicle transporting team director Masuoka has been equipped with front and rear suspension from JAOS for enhanced road handling on rough terrain. Like the all-new Triton, the Delica D:5 support cars feature red and black motifs, symbolizing the energy of gushing lava.
