Recently, SAIC MG officially released the official photo of the MG EXE181 model. Judging from SAIC Shao Jingfeng's Weibo, this car will be "like F1! Lightning!" and "pay tribute to (own) classics and recreate legends!" EXE181 is actually a classic product in the history of MG. In 1959, MG EX181 set a 20th-century surface speed of 410.5km/h. The challenger at the time, Phil Hill, became the first American F1 world champion two years later. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the MG brand and the 20th anniversary of the first F1 Grand Prix in China. Paying tribute to the "Roaring Raindrops", it shows MG's pursuit and exploration of speed in the electric era.
Judging from the official design pictures released this time, the overall shape of the new car is very avant-garde and sci-fi, showing a futuristic supercar style as a whole. In order to pursue top speed and lower drag coefficient, the new car adopts a very streamlined style. It is reported that the car's drag coefficient is only 0.181Cd, which can be said to be the lowest in the world.
The cockpit of the concept car uses a single driver's seat, and in order to pursue top speed, it also adopts a minimalist design. The EXE181 electric supercar will be equipped with SAIC's three-electric technology and aerodynamic design, and aims to have a top speed of 415km/h. The new car has now entered the conceptual design and engineering demonstration stage, and will join the "1-second club" for zero-to-100 acceleration in the future.
