Ferrari has revealed a new one-off model, the 2024 Ferrari SP-8. This unique roadster was commissioned through Ferrari's Special Projects program, which allows select clients to create bespoke vehicles tailored to their specifications.

Ferrari Special Projects

The Special Projects program enables Ferrari to craft exclusive one-off cars based on client requests. The SP-8 represents the latest addition to Ferrari's lineup of custom-built models. Its creation involved close collaboration between the client and Ferrari's design team over nearly two years.

Exterior Design and Aerodynamics

As a roadster variant of the F8 Spider, the SP-8 retains a similar mid-rear engine layout and chassis. However, the lack of a retractable hardtop allowed Ferrari's designers to completely reimagine the rear styling. They also optimized the aerodynamics through extensive testing to ensure acoustic comfort and airflow comparable to the F8 Spider.

Signature design elements include an imposing grille, unique wheel designs, and imaginative use of contrasting materials like exposed carbon fiber. The two-tone color scheme links the front and rear styling.

Interior and Details

Inside, the SP-8 features customized details like Alcantara upholstery, special carpeting, and redesigned controls to accommodate the F1 transmission introduced on the SF90 Stradale. The interior reflects the car's one-off status.

Other exclusive details include the matte Grigio NART wheels, bespoke exterior colors, and tailpipes from the 296 GTB.

Performance Specifications

Motivation comes from the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the F8 Spider. This engine produces 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, enabling exhilarating performance. Official specifications like 0-60 mph time, top speed, and curb weight are still to be confirmed.

The 2024 Ferrari SP-8 makes its public debut at the 2023 Finali Mondiali at Mugello. It represents the pinnacle of Ferrari's customization program, bringing a client's vision to life in a unique one-off roadster.
