2024 Buick Encore Plus

Buick has launched the Encore Plus in China. The dynamic urban compact SUV offers a refreshed exterior together with leading interior spaciousness, an integrated dual 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and a powerful 1.5T Ecotec engine to elevate the brand’s premium SUV lineup.

The Encore Plus is available with four exterior color options and two interior color options. Two variants are priced at RMB 126,900 and RMB 136,900.

Dynamic, sporty design

The Encore Plus is the latest model to embody Buick's PURE Design philosophy. Its clean lines and surfaces give it a sleek, dynamic and vibrant look.

The fashionable appearance is highlighted by a redesigned wing-shaped front fascia featuring an aggressive grille, high-mounted LED headlamps and a body-mounted new Buick badge. The streamlined profile is accentuated by full surfaces, widened fenders and a sharp character line, emphasizing both strength and sophistication. The dynamic tail wing and complementary lower underbody panel reinforce the sporty dynamics and overall functionality.

Smooth, powerful driving

The compact SUV is powered by GM’s eighth-generation Ecotec 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine matched with a chain-style CVT transmission. It generates maximum power of 135 kW, with up to 250 Nm of peak torque from 1,500-5,000 rpm. Its fuel consumption has been optimized to 6.59 liters/100 km.

The award-winning propulsion system does not only provide extremely smooth performance in daily urban commuting. It also effortlessly handles full loads and uphill climbs. The meticulously tuned chassis system combined with the new-generation high-gear-ratio Electric Power Steering system delivers agile and responsive handling as well as solid and resilient response. Customers can up the thrilling driving experience with the Sports Mode.

Convenient, intuitive connectivity

The Encore Plus comes with the latest generation of the Buick eConnect system, which runs on a dual 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen that integrates the instrument cluster and touchscreen center display – a rarity in the segment. It offers a stunning visual experience, high clarity and smooth operation, and supports over-the-air updates.

The connectivity system has been optimized with enhanced intelligent voice assistance, onboard navigation, and multi-media content that keeps customers connected and entertained. The system’s flat UI design supports customized configuration of the screen layout and information.

The latest Baidu intelligent voice recognition system allows hands-free operation of common functions such as making calls, navigation and vehicle controls. The system can recognize driver and passenger commands, for a more personalized travel experience. "Three-finger swipe" operation permits seamless transition to the instrument display. The onboard entertainment system has a wealth of content through video and audio apps, enabling the smooth streaming of shows, movies, music and news.

The latest eCruise system in the Encore Plus incorporates over 10 advanced driver assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert and Auto High Beam Assist.

Comfortable, flexible cabin

The Encore Plus’s dimensions (length of 4,458 mm, width of 1,813 mm, height of 1,644 mm and wheelbase of 2,640 mm) give it excellent maneuverability and a comfortable seating environment in both front and back, including segment-leading rear legroom and knee space.

The flowing wraparound cockpit is adorned with soft leather surfaces highlighted by premium materials and sophisticated craftsmanship. French-style double stitching, high-gloss black piano accents and chrome detailing accentuate the warm and inviting interior. Buick’s signature QuietTuning technology, ergonomic suede-wrapped seats, and a nano-level PM2.5 air-conditioning and purifying system provide additional premium-level comfort.

With 6/4 split-folding rear seats, luggage space can expand from 415 liters to 1,384 liters. Along with a flat floor in back and 29 storage spaces, this makes the Encore Plus ideal for a variety of travel needs, from city commutes to long-distance weekend getaways.
