The six-speed automatic transmission is recalibrated for the extra grunt. These enhancements give the HiLux GR Sport the most powerful diesel engine in the HiLux lineup.

To match the upgraded powertrain, engineers fitted KYB monotube shock absorbers and removed the rear stabilizer bar to improve suspension articulation. This allows the HiLux GR Sport to better handle off-road terrain while retaining its 3,500kg braked towing capacity.

Exterior Styling

Visually, the HiLux GR Sport stands out with its widened track, increased ride height, and Dakar-inspired styling cues. The front bumper features “air curtains” to reduce drag, and the skid plate provides underbody protection. Rock rails replace side steps, and the rear recovery points enable snatch strap recovery.
