About the Car
2023 Suzuki Across PHEV
Just over two years after the launch of ACROSS Plug-in , Suzuki updates its flagship range, “always electric and hybrid when needed” with everything as standard.
Hamamatsu engineers focused on the evolution of the man-machine interface, starting with the new 12.3 ” digital instrumentation and the upgrade of the infotainment system with a new 10.5 ” touchscreen . Thanks to the new introductions, the pilot can consult information clearly and immediately, enjoying advanced connectivity for any type of personal device and counting on safety thanks to the updated eCall emergency communication system. Finally, the complete equipment as per the “all standard” philosophy of the new ACROSS Plug-in includes a new 7 kW on-board charger with type 2 Mennekes cable .
This makes it possible to halve the recharging times at public columns and, combined with a record range of 98 km in electric mode (according to the strictest WLTP approval standards in the urban cycle), makes it possible to travel even more frequently zero emissions, with maximum respect for the environment. With these technical features, ACROSS Plug-in is always an electric car and a hybrid when needed.
New 12.3″ digital instrumentation
ACROSS Plug-in is now equipped with a new fully digital 12.3″ high
definition cockpit whose screens have unprecedented three-dimensional
graphics that enhance the readability of the instrument panel. The new
organization of the instruments allows the user to check the information
quickly and intuitively and to maintain maximum concentration while
driving. The driver can choose to customize up to 3 different display
layouts, also in relation to the mode selected for the hybrid system:
- EV Mode: driving is 100% electric
- HV Mode: the system manages the internal combustion engine and the electric ones in a hybrid way, optimizing consumption and the progressiveness of torque delivery.
- AUTO EV/HV mode: the system automatically chooses the most convenient mode, always favoring the electric one but also using the internal combustion engine
- CHG Mode: finally allows you to recharge the battery using the internal combustion engine.
It is also possible to view 4 different digital cockpit designs related to the 4 available Driving Modes:
- Normal, for daily mobility
- Eco to better optimize consumption
- Sport for top performance and an even quicker steering response
- Trail: to ensure the best grip on slippery surfaces
New infotainment system with 10.5”
screen The 10.5” central display introduces clear, sharp and reactive graphics, for the benefit of quick and punctual consultation. Navigation within the menus and operating the commands are never a distraction and follow simple logics, similar to those of commonly used tablets and smartphones.
And speaking of connectivity with personal devices, the new infotainment
system is equipped with the MirrorLink® system, Android Auto® and Apple
CarPlay®, now also in wireless mode which, in addition to the wireless
charger for smartphones, also standard, involves significant advantages
in terms of practicality on board and use.

Charging times halved and record autonomy in electric mode
The standard equipment of the new ACROSS Plug-in debuts a new 7 kW on-board charger with type 2 Mennekes cable included, which allows connection to domestic wall-boxes or public charging columns. Its use reduces the recharging times of the 18.1 kWh battery by approximately 50%, making it possible to fully restore the efficiency of the accumulators in less than three hours at stations with alternating current up to 32°, ensuring autonomy in electric mode up to 98 km in the city and 75 km in the mixed cycle of WLTP approval. In other words, the higher recharging speed makes it possible to use the car more often in zero-emission mode, with maximum respect for the environment.
Evolution of the eCall system
Thanks to a new positioning of the microphone, emergency calls, managed by the eCall system, can take place with higher audio quality. This guarantees the possibility of having a clearer exchange of messages, with obvious positive effects on safety and, in the most delicate situations, such as in the event of an accident, on the timely dispatch of assistance.
