Engine Upgrades Hennessey starts with the standard Ford F-150 5.0L V8 engine and adds a 3.0L supercharger with an air-to-water intercooler to increase boost pressure. Upgraded fuel injectors, fuel system components, and a high-flow induction kit allow the enhanced forced induction system to operate optimally. A stainless steel cat-back exhaust reduces backpressure. With Hennessey’s custom engine management calibration, output jumps to 775 hp and 727 lb-ft of torque.
