2023 GAC Motor Trumpchi A79 Concept
GAC Trumpchi officially released a hand drawing (internal code name) of its new SUV-A79. The new car is built based on GAC’s global platform modular architecture GPMA, and adopts a new family-style design style, with a futuristic visual effect.
In terms of appearance, judging from the hand-drawn drawings released this time, the new car adopts a brand-new design style. The polygonal front grille is supplemented by a straight waterfall element design, paired with a three-section air intake below and sharp-looking headlights. While enhancing the vehicle's fashion sense, it also increases the car's recognition.
Looking from the side of the body, the new car adopts a rich waistline design and is matched with densely spoked black wheels, which is full of dynamics. At the same time, we can see that this car does not seem to be equipped with a conventional door handle mechanism. It is expected to adopt a hidden design after mass production to reduce the wind resistance coefficient. Regarding the rear, the new car may provide two kits based on different configurations in the future. One is a two-outlet layout on both sides, while the other is a center-mounted dual outlet and is equipped with a large-size diffuser, bringing different visual effects.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has previously announced the application information of the new generation of GAC Trumpchi GS3. Comparing the two, it is found that the A79 released this time is the new generation of GAC Trumpchi GS3. Looking back at the declaration information, in terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4410 (4446)/1850/1600mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2650mm. The length, width and wheelbase have all increased compared to the current model. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 4A15J2 1.5T turbocharged engine that meets the National VI emission standards, with the maximum power increased to 177 horsepower (130kW).
