2022 Ford E-Transit
Arriving for customers in Europe in spring 2022, E-Transit targets an estimated WLTP driving range of up to 350 km – roughly three times the distance the average EU fleet driver covers daily – with lower maintenance expenses helping deliver an estimated 40 per cent saving in servicing cost of ownership versus diesel models.
E-Transit offers European customers 25 variants of body, length, roof height and Gross Vehicle Mass. Payload is targeted up to 1,616 kg for the van and up to 1,967 kg for the chassis cab models. Pro Power Onboard also turns E-Transit into a mobile power source with up to 2.3 kW to help customers use tools and recharge equipment at jobsites – an industry first for light commercial vehicles in Europe.
A standard FordPass Connect modem for E-Transit enables a supporting ecosystem of connected services and technologies to help customers optimise fleet efficiency, including easily finding and paying for charging on-the-go.
Ford will build E-Transits for European customers at the Ford Otosan Kocaeli plant in Turkey on a dedicated line alongside the award-winning Transit Custom Plug-In Hybrid.
By leveraging more than 30 million miles of Ford Telematics™ data, we learned that the average daily range for commercial vans in the U.S. is 74 miles. Of course we also understand that there are days when those distances are higher, and recognize the need to adjust for factors such as cold weather. We consequently designed E-Transit with a targeted 126 miles of range (Cargo Van low-roof models).

One size never fits all. That’s why we offer so many choices in electric work vans. Just like the gas-powered Transit Cargo Van, the E-Transit comes in three lengths and three roof heights. It’s also available in chassis cab and cutaway models. Which means it adds eight all-electric configurations to the already best-in-class* total offered by the current gas model.
