Over the next 10 years, Nissan will continue to expand its business globally by providing a number of exciting electric vehicles and innovations. This long-term vision underpins our goal of achieving carbon neutrality throughout the product life cycle by 2050.

2021 Nissan Chill-Out Concept

Promoting electrification and providing a variety of options and experiences

Nissan has been ahead of other companies in launching mass-market EVs in markets around the world and investing in charging infrastructure, etc. In 2030, electrification is at the core of our long-term strategy. We will invest 2 trillion yen over the next five years to further accelerate vehicle electrification and technological innovation.

In response to customer demand for exciting and diverse vehicles, Nissan will introduce 23 electric vehicles, including 15 EVs, by 2030, bringing both Nissan and Infiniti brands together globally. We aim to increase the model mix of electric vehicles to 50% or more.

To achieve this goal, we will introduce 20 EV and e-POWER-equipped vehicles by 2026, and improve the sales ratio of electric vehicles in each major market to the following levels.

  • Europe: 75% or more
  • Japan: 55% or more
  • China: 40% or more
  • US: 40% or more by 2030 (EV only)
