The new P300e PHEV powertrain combines the 200PS 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 109PS (80kW) Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) motor. It provides the ability to drive up to 34 miles (55km) in zero emissions EV mode, with combined CO2 emissions from 44g/km and fuel economy up to 141mpg (2.0 l/100km) (WLTP TEH combined).
Inside, customers benefit from the latest Pivi Pro infotainment, which provides intuitive control of the vehicle systems with simplified menus and enhanced connectivity, including Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) updates.
Enhanced exterior
The exterior design enhancements give Jaguar’s compact performance SUV a more assertive stance and luxurious appearance. At the front the changes include a revised lower aperture incorporating a distinctive blade element. A new grille mesh design with diamond detailing is influenced by the Jaguar heritage logo and features a contemporary Noble Chrome finish, while new side fender vents feature the iconic Leaper emblem.
New all-LED headlights feature ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures, which are available with optional Pixel LED technology, delivering increased resolution and brightness. Adaptive Driving Beam capability evaluates the road ahead and automatically adapts the high beam pattern by selecting different LED segments to mask oncoming traffic or traffic signs, to optimise visibility and reduce glare without distracting other drivers.
Advanced LED technology is fitted to S models, while Premium LED headlights with Auto High Beam Assist feature on SE and HSE vehicles. The technology uses the forward-facing camera to automatically switch between high and low beam, to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers. Rear Animated Directional Indicators are standard on S, SE and HSE models with front Animated Directional Indicators fitted to SE and HSE derivatives.
At the rear, the lower bumper features a new mesh insert which sits between the integrated tail pipes that are standard with four-cylinder petrol engines. All other engine derivatives gain new slim horizontal blade finishers. The all-LED rear lights are inspired by the all-electric
I-PACE and feature Jaguar’s chicane graphic, showcasing the advanced technology and modernity of the overall design.
In purposeful R-Dynamic specification, the new Jaguar E-PACE features a series of distinct design elements for a more performance-focused look, while all models are available with the additional Black Exterior Pack, which delivers an even more dynamic appearance with bespoke elements finished in Narvik Black.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Front View 3/4
At the heart of the new interior is the integrated 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen at the centre of the dashboard, which controls the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. Chemically strengthened, the glass screen features two coatings; one which is anti-glare and a second which resists fingerprints.

The driver focussed interior also provides easier access to the larger stowage area in front of the new Drive Selector that houses the 15W wireless device charger. Driver touchpoints around the cluster are now wrapped in soft touch materials whilst the knee side contact area has been sculpted to provide improved luxury and comfort.
The new Drive Selector – just one of the many beautiful details – is lower and wider and features an upper section finished with ‘cricket-ball’ stitching, the lower part being made of precision-engineered metal for enhanced tactility.
Focus on materials extends to the metallic speaker accents and metallic vent finishes which, along with elements such as the metallic rotary dials, exemplify the premium interior.
A new steering wheel, which is influenced by the design in the all-electric I-PACE performance SUV, features hidden-until-lit switches and metal gearshift paddles.
Heightened attention to detail is provided by an embossed Jaguar Leaper on the headrests while ‘Est.1935 Jaguar Coventry’ upholstery tags reference the history and heritage of the brand. Additional beautiful details include Jaguar animal print pattern in the central cubby area and in front of the drive selector.
Plug-in power and performance
New E-PACE utilises Jaguar’s Premium Transverse Architecture, which has been designed and engineered to accommodate the latest electrified powertrain technologies. This includes the new three-cylinder P300e PHEV powertrain as well as the next-generation four-cylinder diesel and latest petrol Ingenium engines, which feature Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology.
Advanced features include intelligent All-Wheel Drive and smooth-shifting automatic transmissions, ensuring the new Jaguar E-PACE delivers the confidence-inspiring dynamics, traction and refinement expected from a Jaguar.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Interior
The advanced 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is the latest member of the modular, flexible Ingenium engine family, and is available in E-PACE with both PHEV and MHEV technology.
The lightweight new aluminium engine – 33kg lighter than the four-cylinder – delivers strong performance and refinement with low levels of friction which contribute to excellent efficiency and fuel consumption. The exhaust manifold is integrated into the aluminium cylinder head, this contributes to the rapid warm-up times and minimises the distance from the exhaust ports to the turbocharger’s turbine wheel for improved responses.
The new P300e PHEV powertrain combines the 200PS 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 109PS (80kW) Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) motor. This ensures impressive performance and efficiency, with 0-60mph in 6.1seconds (0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds), CO2 emissions from 44g/km and fuel economy up to 141mpg (2.0 l/100km) (WLTP TEH combined).
The compact ERAD motor is powered by a 15kWh lithium-ion battery located under the boot floor. When fully charged it provides up to 34 miles (55km) of all-electric range, enabling the new E-PACE PHEV to complete the average UK daily commute, to and from work, of 18.8 miles (30.2km) in EV mode without requiring a recharge.
On both the three-cylinder petrol, and four-cylinder petrol and diesels, the MHEV system uses a Belt integrated Starter Generator (BiSG) in the engine bay to harvest energy usually lost when slowing and braking, which is then stored in a 48V lithium-ion battery located beneath the rear loadspace. It is able to redeploy the stored energy to assist the engine when accelerating and delivers a more refined and responsive stop/start system.
With MHEV technology, the new 160PS 2.0-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine (FWD only) achieves CO2 emissions from 181g/km and fuel economy up to 35.2mpg (8.0l/100km).

The new Jaguar E-PACE is also available with the next-generation 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel and the latest 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol powertrains, paired with MHEV technology, AWD and nine-speed automatic transmissions.
The 163PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel MHEV produces 380Nm, with CO2 emissions from 167g/km and fuel economy up to 44.3mpg (6.4 l/100km). The 204PS MHEV produces 430 Nm and is capable of covering 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds (0-100km/h in 8.4 seconds) while returning up to 43.9mpg (6.4 l/100km) with CO2 emissions from 169g/km.
Also available in six-speed manual transmission, FWD-only form is a 163PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel non-MHEV engine with CO2 emissions from 158g/km and fuel economy up to 46.9mpg (6.0 l/100km).
The latest powertrain features a selection of advanced engine technologies to enhance refinement and efficiency, including high strength steel pistons for the first time. They reduce friction while a variable vane turbocharger and the new 2,500 bar piezo common rail injection system, which delivers even finer control of fuel delivered into the cylinders, also optimise efficiency.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Top Side View
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine is available in three power outputs, all featuring MHEV technology. The 200PS version produces 320Nm of torque and will complete 0-60mph in up to 8.0 seconds (0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds), while the 249PS, 365Nm powertrain will complete the same 0-60mph benchmark in up to 7.0 seconds (0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds).
Heading up the petrol engine range is the 300PS variant. Available exclusively in the 300 SPORT, it produces 400Nm of torque delivering 0-60mph in 6.6 seconds (0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds).
The advanced powertrain features the latest engine technologies including intelligent Continuous Variable Valve Lift (CVVL), which works alongside Variable Cam Timing (VCT) technology supported by a twin scroll turbocharger for a strong combination of refined performance and efficiency.
Chassis and transmission
Significant updates to the body architecture of the new E-PACE deliver enhanced dynamics, comfort and convenience. The new Premium Transverse Architecture features new engine mounts, which contribute to an improvement in throttle response.
The new architecture also provides improved front suspension attachment point stiffness, delivering a more comfortable ride while retaining trademark Jaguar agility. The structure reduces vibration and harshness across the whole cabin, making it a tranquil sanctuary for all occupants, while also reducing cabin noise for enhanced comfort and refinement.
The majority of models feature Jaguar’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system, with three-cylinder AWD models mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions, four-cylinder models using nine-speed automatic transmissions. Ratios are closely-spaced for immediate response, with manual control facilitated by using the zinc-alloy steering wheel shift paddles for added driver engagement. A six-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard on the front-wheel-drive 163PS diesel derivative.
The new Jaguar E-PACE’s AWD system utilises second generation ‘Standard Driveline’ technology, which automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear wheels to ensure traction is always maximised.
For the first time, Standard Driveline features Driveline Disconnect technology. During steady state cruising, the setup disengages the AWD system, sending power only to the front axle, delivering increased fuel efficiency.
Exclusive to the 300 SPORT, Jaguar’s second-generation Active Driveline AWD system delivers accomplished all-wheel traction with trademark dynamic capability.
Like the Standard Driveline setup, the Active Driveline AWD system is able to transfer torque between the front and rear axles. Further to this, at the rear axle, two independent electronically-controlled wet-plate clutches are able to distribute torque across the rear wheels, with the capability to direct 100 per cent of that torque to either rear wheel in 100 milliseconds (0.1 seconds).
All E-PACE models have Jaguar Drive Control featuring Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow (on FWD models) and Dynamic modes, which can be chosen manually by the driver based on the road conditions. The settings, selected through a toggle switch next to the all-new Drive Selector, adapt the E-PACE’s steering, transmission, throttle and (when specified) Adaptive Damping calibrations.

Additionally, new Adaptive Surface Response, which replaces Rain-Ice-Snow mode on all AWD models, automatically determines the most appropriate of three separate settings by monitoring the surface conditions every tenth-of-a-second and reacting within half a second.
The E-PACE uses Jaguar’s sophisticated Integral Link rear suspension concept. The Integral Link architecture separates lateral and longitudinal forces, providing the optimum combination of responsive steering and handling with longitudinal impact absorption and refinement.
Cutting-edge connected technologies
The new E-PACE features Jaguar’s advanced Electronic Vehicle Architecture, dubbed EVA 2.0, which supports a range of new technologies to ensure the vehicle is always connected and always up to date.
The latest Pivi Pro infotainment technology is accessed through a new curved glass 11.4-inch HD touchscreen. Key benefits include enhanced clarity – the screen is three times brighter and 48% larger than the previous screen – and the simplified menu structures allow drivers to access or view up to 90 per cent of common tasks from the homescreen in two taps or less.
To enable almost instantaneous start-up, Pivi Pro has its own dedicated power source, so navigation is ready as soon as the driver is behind the wheel, while the embedded apps available – including Spotify, Deezer and TuneIn – provide full functionality even without your smartphone. Further connected features include Google and Microsoft Outlook calendar integration which enables the driver to view work diaries and even join important calls through the hands-free system.
Pivi Pro connectivity is provided by the latest dual-sim technology with two LTE modems enabling the system to carry out multiple functions at the same time, such as streaming media and downloading SOTA updates, without compromising performance. The cutting-edge connectivity also ensures minimal interruptions caused by coverage blackspots as it roams across network providers for the strongest signal.
Advanced SOTA connectivity enables customers to download and install software updates without having to visit a Jaguar retailer. Updates are downloaded in the background, with customers notified by an alert detailing the key changes. For updates that require the vehicle to be switched-off, customers can schedule a convenient time for installation.
Pivi Pro is fitted as standard to S, SE and HSE models and is optional on the core Jaguar E-PACE derivative. Standard on this entry model is Pivi infotainment which supports navigation functionality via the driver’s smartphone using Apple Carplay®. Pivi also features Android Auto™ as standard.
Complementing the central 11.4-inch touchscreen is the latest 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display with enhanced graphics and a configurable layout which can show full screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. The interactive driver display works in conjunction with the latest generation full colour TFT Head-up Display which is brighter, with a larger information area and enhanced resolution.
Cabin Air Ionisation improves interior air quality through Nanoe technology, which removes allergens and unpleasant odours. The advanced system features PM2.5 filtration, which captures ultra-fine particles – including PM2.5 particulates – to improve occupant health and wellbeing and is activated by pressing the ‘Purify’ button within the central touchscreen.
For enhanced convenience, the second-generation wearable Activity Key can be used to lock, unlock and start the vehicle without the need for the conventional key fob to be present in the vehicle. The rechargeable device incorporates a watch and has a battery life of seven days between charges.
The new E-PACE also features Jaguar’s ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror technology for the first time. The system brings improved convenience by ensuring the driver has an unobstructed view of the road behind. Using a wide angle rear-facing camera, the system feeds images to a high-definition screen within the frameless rear view mirror; unhindered by tall rear passengers, poor light or rain on the rear screen.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Interior
The latest 3D Surround Camera technology delivers advanced 3D functionality using the latest camera technology to provide more detail and a choice of real-time viewing options when manoeuvring the vehicle. The selection of settings includes Junction View, 3D Perspective View, and ClearSight Plan View.
Jaguar’s Driver Condition Monitor technology is able to detect if the driver is beginning to feel drowsy and alert them to take a break. The technology uses inputs from thousands of data points, some of which are measured every one thousandth of a second – including steering, pedal inputs and general driving behaviour – to detect signs of tiredness. In addition, Adaptive Cruise Control maintains a set distance to the car in front, for more relaxed, enjoyable and less tiring long distance journeys.
300 SPORT
The new range-topping 300 SPORT is exclusively powered by the 300PS petrol engine and is capable of 0-60mph in just 6.6 seconds (0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds). It features a selection of the latest technologies for enhanced performance, including Active Damping, Adaptive Dynamics, Active Driveline and Configurable Dynamics.
Available in all exterior colours, it features 20-inch five-spoke Diamond-turned with Black accent wheels, Black Exterior Pack and powered tailgate. On the inside, illuminated Jaguar treadplates, Meridian Audio, Ebony Suedecloth headlining and R-Dynamic Taurus Sport seats in Ebony, Cloud or Deep Garnet all help to set the 300 SPORT apart.
Customers can choose from S, SE and HSE trim levels and all are available in R-Dynamic specification. Optional on all models is the Black Exterior Pack. Also available is the new 300 SPORT specification.
Design
The new Jaguar E-PACE features exterior enhancements for a more dynamic appearance, while the new interior benefits from crafted, luxurious materials seamlessly integrated with the latest connected technologies.
The new Jaguar E-PACE features a revised front lower aperture design with a blade element running through it for a more assertive presence. The grille is finished with a new mesh design with diamond detailing – influenced by the Jaguar heritage logo – and features a Noble Chrome finish for a heightened sense of luxury.
The E-PACE’s chiselled plan-shape and sculpted bonnet highlight its performance credentials as well as showcasing the precision of its overall design. The dramatic roofline and side window graphic accentuates this sense of dynamism and are inspired by the striking design of the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe sports car.
New, all-LED headlights give E-PACE an even bolder appearance, day or night. The front lighting design features the ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light (DRL) signature graphic and the latest technologies, including a Pixel LED option. Front and rear animated directional indicators are standard on SE and HSE specification packs, while S spec pack models feature rear animated directional indicators as standard.
At the rear, the lower bumper features a new mesh insert which sits between the integrated tail pipes that are standard with four-cylinder petrol engines. All other engines receive the new slim horizontal blade finishers. The all-LED rear lights are inspired by the all-electric I-PACE and feature Jaguar’s chicane graphic, showcasing the advanced technology and modernity of the overall design.

In purposeful R-Dynamic specification the new E-PACE features a selection of distinct design elements to deliver a more performance-focused look. The blade element of the lower apertures are removed and finished with a Noble Chrome surround and the front grille tips are finished in Shadow Atlas rather than Noble Chrome. The lower front bumper is finished in body colour for a sporty appearance.
All models are available with the additional Black Exterior Pack, which delivers an even more dynamic appearance with bespoke elements finished in Narvik Black, including the grille surround and tips, lower bumper mesh inserts, side vents, window surrounds and rear badging.
A choice of 12 wheel options includes four new diamond turned designs: a new 18-inch five-spoke wheel with Satin Black inserts, a 19-inch five-spoke design with Satin Dark Grey inserts, a 20-inch five-spoke version with Satin Dark Grey insert and a 21-inch 10-spoke design featuring Gloss Black inserts.

New Jaguar E-PACE interior delivers heightened luxury, enhanced connectivity and greater refinement. The focal point of the new interior design is the new curved 11.4-inch HD touchscreen integrated into the central instrument panel. Chemically strengthened, the glass screen features two coatings; one which is anti-glare and a second which makes wiping away fingerprints easier.
The large touchscreen operates the new Pivi Pro infotainment system, which provides greater clarity than before. The intuitive system allows the driver to carry out 90 per cent of common tasks within two taps from the home screen thanks to its simplified menu structure. The seamless integration of new technology is integral to Jaguar’s new design DNA.

R-Dynamic specification provides a more sporty appearance across the cabin as well as externally. Additions include the R-Dynamic sports seats, Ebony Suedecloth headlining, contrast stich detailing and an Ebony steering wheel with ‘R’ badging. Dubbed EVA 2.0, this advanced new architecture supports Jaguar’s state-of-the-art Pivi Pro dual-sim infotainment system and Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) technology, which allows customers to update the vehicle remotely.
Pivi Pro is delivered through a new curved-glass 11.4-inch HD touchscreen – 48 per cent larger and up to three times brighter than before. The glass screen is chemically strengthened and features two coatings; the first is anti-glare, the second makes it easier to wipe away fingerprints.
Pivi Pro features a simplified menu structure, so drivers can carry out 90 per cent of common tasks within two taps from the home screen. The intuitive new system features Apple CarPlay® as standard and also allows customers to connect two phones simultaneously via Bluetooth. Android Auto™ is also standard depending on market applicability.

Advanced SOTA connectivity enables customers to download and install software updates without having to visit a Jaguar retailer. Updates are downloaded in the background, with customers notified by an alert detailing the key changes. For updates that require the vehicle to be switched-off, customers can schedule a convenient time for installation.

Pivi Pro is fitted as standard to S, SE and HSE models and is optional on the core E-PACE derivative. Standard on this entry model is Pivi infotainment which supports navigation functionality via the driver’s smartphone using Apple Carplay®. Pivi also features Android Auto™ as standard.
Connected technology for wellbeing and convenience
Cabin Air Ionisation improves interior air quality through Nanoe technology, which removes allergens and unpleasant odours. The system now features PM2.5 filtration, which captures ultra-fine particles – including PM2.5 particulates – to improve occupant health and wellbeing. The customer activates the system simply by pressing the ‘Purify’ button on the central touchscreen.
Complementing the central 11.4-inch touchscreen is the latest 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display instrument cluster which provides enhanced resolution and additional customisation options. Full-screen 3D mapping is available with additional overlays for elements ranging from traffic and turn-by-turn instructions, to compass bearings and even places of interest based on individual preferences.
The latest generation full colour TFT Head-up Display is brighter, with a larger information area and enhanced resolution. It places useful information such as navigation directions, speed and incoming caller details directly into the driver’s eyeline to help maintain their focus on the road ahead.
New Jaguar E-PACE is available with the second-generation Activity Key in addition to the standard fobs. The tough, waterproof wrist-worn device can lock, unlock and start the vehicle without the driver having to carry a conventional key. The rechargeable device incorporates a watch for the first time and has a battery life of up to seven days between charges.
Keeping digital devices topped up is easier thanks to 15W wireless device charging, with signal booster. Occupants simply place their smartphone on the charging pad to quickly recharge. The system also uses an external antenna to improve the smartphone’s signal when being used inside the car.
Pivi Pro uses Machine Learning to remember regular journeys and automatically displays an estimated time of arrival based on current traffic conditions and your typical journey time for the most likely destinations, without having to set a destination. It is also able to tailor routing to the roads the driver prefers to use unless there are known delays. On a regular commute, if faster routes are available using roads the driver doesn’t regularly use, the system includes the option to automatically enable voice guidance in unfamiliar surroundings. Once the driver returns to familiar roads, Pivi Pro’s Smart Voice Guidance then automatically mutes again allowing the driver to listen to their chosen media source without interruption.
To keep tabs on the E-PACE from afar, Jaguar’s Remote App technology allows customers to view key vehicle information using a smartphone, including the fuel level, the vehicle location and journey history. The app even allows owners to lock or unlock the vehicle remotely and initiate the climate control, to heat or cool the cabin before a journey.
For PHEV models, owners can check the level of remaining electric range, the charge status and charging time. The system also enables the driver to send a destination to the vehicle remotely allowing them to start the journey immediately without having to enter it into the navigation system.

Advanced driver assistance systems
New all-LED headlights with ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures are available with optional Pixel LED technology. This advanced system delivers increased resolution and brightness as well as optional Adaptive Driving Beam technology, which evaluates the road ahead using on-board cameras and automatically adapts the high beam pattern to take account of traffic or road signs.
The system tailors the light beam by illuminating different LED segments, to optimise visibility without distracting other drivers. Front and rear animated directional indicators are standard on SE and HSE spec packs, while S spec pack models feature rear animated directional indicators as standard.
Premium LEDs come as standard, with SE and HSE vehicles also featuring Auto High Beam Assist, which automatically switches between high and low beam, reducing the risk of dazzling oncoming drivers.
The new E-PACE also features Jaguar’s ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror technology for the first time. Using a high-definition camera integrated with the roof-mounted aerial pod, it feeds images to a high-resolution screen within the mirror. The driver is able to switch between the standard mirror and camera feed using a small switch on the mirror. The ClearSight technology enables the driver to have an unobstructed view behind the vehicle, even if the physical view is blocked by passengers or objects in the rear of the vehicle. The camera feed also provides improved visibility in low light conditions and a wider 50-degree field of vision for enhanced safety.
Jaguar’s latest 3D Surround Camera technology makes it even easier to perform parking manoeuvres by providing intuitive real-time 3D perspective views of the vehicle. ClearSight Plan View generates the effect that the vehicle is transparent so drivers can assess the surface beneath, which is particularly useful in off-road scenarios. Available in both 360° and perspective plan views, it may also display some of the blind spots surrounding the vehicle.
The latest camera technology supports Jaguar’s 360° Parking Aid, which provides the driver with audio-visual feedback to gauge the distance to obstacles on all sides, to help when making low speed manoeuvres. Any obstacles around the vehicle are highlighted and marked as a threat when they are in the path of new E-PACE.
The new E-PACE features Jaguar’s Driver Condition Monitor technology which is able to detect if the driver is beginning to feel drowsy and alert them to take a break. The technology uses inputs from thousands of data points, some of which are measured every one thousandth of a second – including steering, pedal inputs and general driving behaviour – to detect signs of tiredness. In addition, Adaptive Cruise Control maintains a set distance to the car in front, for more relaxed, enjoyable and less tiring long distance journeys.
The latest in speaker technology is available through enhanced Meridian Sound and Meridian Surround Sound systems, featuring 12 speakers with a subwoofer or 14 speakers with a subwoofer respectively.
All Meridian systems now feature centre channel technology which delivers an enhanced listening experience. The function brings added depth, allowing vocals to be perceived in the centre of the cabin rather than the side through the door speakers. It gives the impression, when listening to music, that the singer is directly in front of the driver and passengers for a more crisp and clear delivery.
Meridian Cabin Correction is able to neutralise any remaining noise resonance which can be reflected off surfaces, while Meridian Digital Dither ensures that low volume notes or tones can be heard as smoothly as possible while correcting degradation.
Customers can choose from S, SE and HSE trim levels, all are available in R-Dynamic specification. Optional on all models is the Black Exterior Pack. Also available is the new 300 Sport specification.
Performance
The new Jaguar E-PACE features next generation Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology, delivering up to 34 miles (55km) of all-electric range, renowned Jaguar driving dynamics and reduced running costs.
In addition, there is a choice of Jaguar’s next generation 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel and latest 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engines, both featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology for enhanced efficiency.
Advanced features include intelligent All-Wheel Drive and smooth-shifting automatic transmissions, ensuring the new E-PACE delivers the confidence-inspiring dynamics, traction and refinement expected from a Jaguar.

Three-cylinder Ingenium petrol: PHEV and MHEV
New E-PACE utilises Jaguar’s Premium Transverse Architecture, which has been designed and engineered to accommodate the latest electrified powertrain technologies.
The advanced 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is the latest member of the modular, flexible Ingenium engine family, and is available in Jaguar E-PACE with both PHEV and MHEV technology.
The lightweight new aluminium engine – 33kg lighter than the four-cylinder – delivers strong performance and refinement with low levels of friction which contribute to excellent efficiency and fuel consumption. The exhaust manifold is integrated into the aluminium cylinder head, this contributes to rapid warm-up times and minimises the distance from the exhaust ports to the turbocharger’s turbine wheel for improved responses.
The three-cylinder configuration delivers a better flow of exhaust gases, ensuring the turbine wheel delivers boost pressure almost instantaneously. A highly efficient Watercooled Charge Air Cooler means the density of air being drawn into the combustion chambers remains high, further enhancing performance and efficiency across the engine’s operating range.
The new P300e PHEV powertrain combines the 200PS 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 109PS (80kW) Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) motor. This ensures impressive performance and efficiency, with 0-60mph in 6.1seconds (0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds), CO2 emissions from 44g/km and fuel economy up to 141mpg (2.0 l/100km) (WLTP TEH combined).
The advanced Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) features a light, compact and efficient synchronous permanent magnet motor. To optimise package space, the driveshafts are concentric with the motor and single-speed transmission, while the inverter is also integrated within the ERAD casing. The ERAD module is neatly integrated within the Integral Link rear suspension system and powers the rear wheels exclusively.
At speeds above 84mph (135km/h), the electric motor is decoupled to reduce drag and therefore optimise efficiency, seamlessly re-engaging when the speed drops back below 84mph.
The compact high-voltage junction box (HVJB) under the front seats is another engineering innovation. This comprises the DC:DC converter (changes high-voltage current from the hybrid battery to low voltage to support the 12-volt network) and the 7kW on-board charger used to charge the hybrid battery when the vehicle is plugged in.
The compact ERAD motor is powered by a 15kWh lithium-ion battery located under the boot floor. When fully charged it provides up to 34 miles (55km) of all-electric range, enabling the new E-PACE PHEV to complete the average UK daily commute, to and from work, of 18.8 miles (30.2km) in EV mode without requiring a recharge.
There are a number of charging methods available to owners, including:
- Fast Charging (32kW DC or greater), estimated charge time 0-80 per cent in as little as 30 Minutes
- Mode 3 Charging (up to 7kW), estimated charge time 0-80 per cent in as little as one hour and 24 minutes
- Mode 2 Charging (up to 2.3kW), estimated charge time 0-80 per cent in as little as five hours
Drivers are able to select between three driving modes depending on the nature of their journey, from making short urban journeys or covering longer distances:
- EV (Electric Vehicle) mode – enables the vehicle to run solely on rear-wheel drive only electric power using the energy stored in the battery, for quiet, zero-tailpipe emissions journeys.
- HYBRID mode (the default driving mode) – combines petrol and electric drive. This mode optimises the comfort and efficiency of the hybrid system, automatically and seamlessly combining the electric motor and petrol engine. The strategy adapts to the driving conditions and the remaining charge in the hybrid battery. Additionally, entering a destination in the navigation system enables the Predictive Energy Optimisation (PEO) function, which intelligently integrates route and GPS location data to maximise efficiency and comfort for every journey.
- SAVE mode – prioritises the combustion engine as its primary energy source, maintaining the battery State of Charge, for deployment at a specific point in the journey – for example when entering urban areas. In addition, the mode will charge the battery whilst driving and at 70mph will take 90 minutes to achieve 85% charge.
On both the three-cylinder petrol, and four-cylinder petrol and diesels, the MHEV system uses a Belt integrated Starter Generator (BiSG) in the engine bay to harvest energy usually lost when slowing and braking, which is then stored in a 48V lithium-ion battery located beneath the rear loadspace. It is able to redeploy the stored energy to assist the engine when accelerating and delivers a more refined and responsive stop/start system.
With MHEV technology, the new 160PS 2.0-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine (FWD only) achieves CO2 emissions from 181g/km and fuel economy up to 35.2mpg (8.0 l/100km).

Advanced i4 engines
The new Jaguar E-PACE is also available with the next-generation 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel and the latest 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol powertrains, paired with MHEV technology, AWD and nine-speed automatic transmissions.
The 163PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel MHEV produces 380Nm, with CO2 emissions from 167g/km and fuel economy up to 44.3mpg (6.4 l/100km). The 204PS MHEV produces 430 Nm and is capable of covering 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds (0-100km/h in 8.4 seconds) while returning up to 43.9mpg (6.4 l/100km) with CO2 emissions from 169g/km.
Also available in six-speed manual transmission, FWD-only form is a 163PS 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel non-MHEV engine with CO2 emissions from 158g/km and fuel economy up to 46.9mpg (6.0 l/100km).
A selection of advanced engine strategies provides added refinement and performance, including steel pistons. The higher strength material allows for a more compact, lower friction design as well as increased capability to withstand higher peak pressures. Their stronger construction enables more intricate and thorough integration of cooling channels for improved thermal management. At the same time, the thermal expansion rate is closer to that of the iron cylinder liners for improved clearance control, both enhancing cooling and efficiency. The use of roller bearings on the camshafts further reduces friction.
Variable vane geometry turbocharger technology enhances both performance and responses. At low engine speeds the turbocharger vanes rotate to narrow the opening between them, increasing exhaust gas velocity and boosting pressure, which provides rapid torque response and enhanced acceleration. At high engine speeds, the vanes open, ensuring maximum exhaust gas flow to deliver peak power while maintaining optimum efficiency.
The new 2,500 bar piezo common rail injection system delivers even finer control of fuel delivered into the cylinders. This reduces emissions and improves efficiency. Together with the latest variable geometry turbochargers, this ensures the Ingenium diesel delivers the optimum balance of performance, refinement and fuel economy.
The next generation diesel engine benefits from a 2kg weight reduction – achieved across the fuel system, balance system and crankshaft – compared to the outgoing four-cylinder diesel.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine is available in three power outputs, all featuring MHEV technology. The 200PS version produces 320Nm of torque and will complete 0-60mph in up to 8.0 seconds (0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds), while the 249PS, 365Nm powertrain will complete the same 0-60mph benchmark in up to 7.0 seconds (0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds).
Heading up the petrol engine range is the 300PS variant. Available exclusively in the 300 SPORT, it produces 400Nm of torque delivering 0-60mph in 6.6 seconds (0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds).
The advanced powertrain features Jaguar’s intelligent Continuous Variable Valve Lift (CVVL) system which works alongside Variable Cam Timing (VCT) technology to enable complete control of the engine’s air-intake, optimising performance and fuel economy.
A twin-scroll turbocharger with low friction bearings, for improved responses, is fed by an integrated exhaust manifold, which reduces weight. A water-fed charge air cooler was chosen over a conventional air-based intercooler, improving combustion and delivering higher peak power with enhanced fuel economy and reduced emissions.
New architecture with latest transmission and chassis technologies
Significant updates to the body architecture of the new E-PACE deliver enhanced dynamics, comfort and convenience. The new Premium Transverse Architecture features new engine mounts, which contribute to an improvement in throttle response.
The new architecture also provides improved front suspension attachment point stiffness, delivering a more comfortable ride while retaining trademark Jaguar agility. The structure reduces vibration and harshness across the whole cabin, making it a tranquil sanctuary for all occupants, while also reducing cabin noise for enhanced comfort and refinement.
The changes accommodate a larger diesel fuel tank, which has increased by 9 litres to 65 litres and translates to an additional range of up to 130 miles, while the diesel exhaust fluid tank has grown by five litres to 17 litres for fewer refills.
The majority of models feature Jaguar’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system, with three-cylinder AWD models mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions, four-cylinder models using nine-speed automatic transmissions. Ratios are closely-spaced for immediate response, with manual control facilitated by using the zinc-alloy steering wheel shift paddles for added driver engagement. A six-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard on the front-wheel-drive 163PS diesel derivative.
The new E-PACE’s AWD system utilises second generation ‘Standard Driveline’ technology, which automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear wheels to ensure traction is always maximised.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace Exterior Detail
The latest system uses an electro-mechanically controlled clutch pack to control the torque transfer between the front and rear axles. Using FlexRay (electrical architecture) vehicle network architecture, vehicle data is updated 100 times a second, as supposed to 50 times per second previously, enabling the AWD system to react more quickly and accurately to changes in conditions.
For the first time, Standard Driveline features Driveline Disconnect technology. During steady state cruising, the setup disengages the AWD system, sending power only to the front axle, delivering increased fuel efficiency.
Exclusive to the 300 SPORT, Jaguar’s second-generation Active Driveline AWD system delivers accomplished all-wheel traction with trademark dynamic capability.
Like the Standard Driveline setup, the Active Driveline AWD system is able to transfer torque between the front and rear axles. Further to this, at the rear axle, two independent electronically-controlled wet-plate clutches are able to distribute torque across the rear wheels, with the capability to direct 100 per cent of that torque to either rear wheel in 100 milliseconds (0.1 seconds).
Data from the E-PACE’s vehicle sensors enables the software to analyse the driving conditions and calculate the optimum torque distribution, updating every 10 milliseconds (0.01 seconds). The Active Driveline can then distribute torque to the rear wheel with the most available traction in an instant, enabling the vehicle to respond intelligently to different driving situations.
The latest Active Driveline system is also lighter than before. This means it requires less electrical energy, reduces drag and results in a 51% reduction on overall energy consumption.
All E-PACE models have JaguarDrive Control featuring Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow (on FWD models) and Dynamic modes, which can be chosen manually by the driver based on the road conditions. The settings, selected through a toggle switch next to the all-new Drive Selector, adapt the E-PACE’s steering, transmission, throttle and (when specified) Adaptive Damping calibrations. Dynamic mode delivers a more responsive driving experience, while Eco tunes vehicle settings to encourage a more efficient driving style. Rain-Ice-Snow optimises stability in adverse weather.
Additionally, new Adaptive Surface Response, which replaces Rain-Ice-Snow mode on all AWD models, automatically determines the most appropriate of three separate settings by monitoring the surface conditions every tenth-of-a-second and reacting within half a second.

The E-PACE uses Jaguar’s sophisticated Integral Link rear suspension concept. The Integral Link architecture separates lateral and longitudinal forces, providing the optimum combination of responsive steering and handling with longitudinal impact absorption and refinement.
The Adaptive Dynamics suspension system is standard on the 300 SPORT model and ensures a precise, dynamic set up coupled with a supple, luxurious ride. Adaptive Dynamics constantly analyses acceleration, steering, throttle and brake pedal inputs. Height sensors at each corner of the vehicle measure the vertical body movement, roll and pitch 100 times a second, while steering inputs are measured 500 times a second. Adaptive Dynamics then uses these inputs to continually adjust damper stiffness to maximise comfort and control. Adaptive dynamics is also optional on D200, P200 and P250 AWD models, with passive suspension standard on all but the 300 Sport.

Also available with Adaptive Dynamics is Configurable Dynamics which, when specified, enables the driver to set up the vehicle to suit personal preferences with a choice of Comfort or Dynamic settings applied to the throttle mapping, gear shift points, steering effort and suspension. A stopwatch, G-Meter and pedal graph also help the driver to monitor performance in Dynamic mode.
