2027 Volkswagen ID. Tiguan Style

The ID. Tiguan replaces the ID.4 and ID.5 with three powertrain variants ranging from 190 PS to 299 PS.
Battery options are 58 kWh and 77 kWh, with a WLTP range of up to 600 km and a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 kg.
The redesigned interior introduces a 15-inch infotainment display, physical controls, optional 12-inch passenger screen and Volkswagen's new Retro display modes.
The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Tiguan Style forms part of Volkswagen's new electric SUV range, replacing the ID.4 and ID.5 with a more upright design, revised cabin technology and improved everyday practicality.
Built on the updated MEB+ architecture, the ID. Tiguan will be manufactured in Emden, Germany, and sold alongside the combustion-engined and hybrid Tiguan produced in Wolfsburg.
The Style trim sits between Life and R-Line in a four-version lineup that also includes the entry-level Trend.
Upright SUV Design Replaces Crossover Styling
Volkswagen has moved away from the softer crossover appearance of the outgoing ID.4 and ID.5.
The ID. Tiguan adopts the brand's Pure Positive design language, with more defined body surfaces, precise character lines and a stronger SUV stance.
The exterior is intended to appear closer to a vehicle from the class above, although Volkswagen has not published detailed dimensions in the supplied announcement.
Traditional pull-style door handles also return, replacing the previous approach to door operation.
Four Equipment Grades Include Style
The new electric SUV will be available in Trend, Life, Style and R-Line specifications. While Volkswagen confirms the Style grade, the press release does not identify its exclusive exterior details, wheel dimensions or standard equipment.
The wider range introduces three electric drivetrains, giving buyers a choice between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Three Displays And Volkswagen Retro Graphics
Inside, the ID. Tiguan receives a redesigned dashboard with a 10-inch Digital Cockpit and a 15-inch central infotainment screen. An optional 12-inch passenger display creates a three-screen arrangement. Its privacy mode prevents the driver from viewing passenger content while travelling.
Volkswagen has also restored physical buttons for several functions, including climate controls and the multifunction steering wheel.
A centre-console controller handles audio adjustments. The new Retro display mode recreates the blue and red instrument graphics of the fourth-generation Golf. The infotainment screen can also display six historic Volkswagen models in a virtual garage.
Electric Motors Produce Up To 299 PS
The entry-level rear-wheel-drive version combines a 58 kWh battery with a 140 kW (190 PS) motor. A second rear-wheel-drive model produces 210 kW (286 PS), using the larger 77 kWh battery.
The range-topping 4MOTION variant develops 220 kW (299 PS) and also uses the 77 kWh battery. Volkswagen quotes a maximum WLTP range of 600 km, depending on powertrain and equipment.
Practical Storage And Available Comfort Features
The ID. Tiguan provides seating for five, a 534-litre luggage compartment and an additional 32-litre front storage area. Maximum towing capacity reaches 1,800 kg with the smaller battery and 2,000 kg with the 77 kWh version.
Standard one-pedal driving is joined by optional Connected Travel Assist, which supports assisted lane changes and traffic-light recognition.
Other available equipment includes ventilated massage seats, a 480-watt Harman Kardon audio system and a panoramic roof. German pre-sales begin on October 13, 2026, with prices starting at €42,695.
