2027 Toyota Crown Signia GTS Concept

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Toyota Crown Signia GT-S Concept was developed by Toyota Motorsports Garage using the 2026 Crown Signia as its foundation.

  • Custom MCS coilovers lower the SUV by nearly five inches, while 21-inch HRE wheels wear 295 mm wide tires.

  • Integrated widebody fenders, revised aerodynamics, Lexus RX 500h F SPORT brake components and a custom exhaust distinguish the SEMA prototype.

Toyota Crown Signia GT-S Concept Revealed for SEMA 2026

Toyota has introduced the Crown Signia GT-S Concept, a modified grand touring SUV developed by Toyota Motorsports Garage for the 2026 SEMA Show.

The concept takes the 2026 Crown Signia and gives it a considerably lower stance, wider bodywork and mechanical upgrades intended to change its road-going character.

Rather than turning the SUV into an off-road machine, Toyota has concentrated on performance-inspired styling and chassis modifications while retaining the original vehicle's passenger and cargo practicality.

Widebody Styling and Redesigned Front Bumper

The Crown Signia GT-S receives fully integrated widebody fenders that extend the bodywork around its larger wheels.

At the front, revised headlight surrounds feature red accents, providing a visual contrast against the dark exterior finish.

Toyota has also added an aerodynamic package that changes the appearance of the front and rear bodywork.

The concept is finished in custom-mixed dark grey metallic paint, incorporating additional metallic flake beneath multiple layers of clear coat.

Lower Suspension and 21 Inch HRE Wheels

The most significant change to the Crown Signia's proportions comes from its suspension.

Custom one-off MCS coilovers lower the vehicle by nearly five inches compared with the standard model.

The reduced ride height combines with wider fenders and a dedicated wheel-and-tire package to create a different stance.

Specially built 21-inch HRE wheels carry 295 mm wide tires, which Toyota estimates provide approximately 20 percent more contact area than the standard configuration.

Large brake calipers adapted from the Lexus RX 500h F SPORT are fitted at both axles.

Custom Rear Design and Trapezoidal Exhaust

The GT-S retains the Crown Signia's extended roofline, preserving the basic proportions of the original SUV.

Its rear receives additional aerodynamic treatment and a custom exhaust system.

Trapezoidal exhaust outlets are integrated into the redesigned rear section rather than positioned as separate decorative elements.

The combination of widened bodywork, lowered suspension and rear aerodynamic details moves the concept visually closer to a performance-oriented grand tourer.

Interior With Red Accented Sports Seats

Inside, Toyota has carried the exterior's performance theme into the front seating area.

The concept features heavily bolstered front seats with red accents, giving the cabin a more sporting appearance.

Toyota has not disclosed further changes to the dashboard, infotainment system, upholstery materials or rear seating arrangement [Unverified].

The project's underlying intention remains to retain the Crown Signia's everyday usefulness while introducing a different driving character.

Powertrain and Production Plans

Toyota's announcement does not identify engine modifications, revised output figures or changes to the transmission [Unverified].

The documented mechanical upgrades focus on suspension, brakes, wheels and tires rather than additional power.

The Crown Signia GT-S remains a special project prototype, with no announced production programme or retail pricing.

Toyota cautions that its modifications may affect performance, safety and warranty coverage. The vehicle may not be street legal.
