2027 Skoda Peaq

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Skoda has released the first exterior sketches of the all-new Peaq.

  • The electric SUV adopts the brand's Modern Solid design language.

  • T-shaped lighting and the Tech-Deck Face define the flagship's identity.

2027 Skoda Peaq Previews A New Electric Flagship

Skoda has offered the first real look at what will become its largest electric SUV.

Ahead of the vehicle's full debut later this month, the company has released a series of exterior sketches showing the new 2027 Skoda Peaq. The seven-seat SUV will sit at the top of Skoda's electric lineup and, judging by these early images, it will carry a noticeably stronger visual presence than anything else currently wearing the brand's badge.

While technical specifications remain under wraps for now, the sketches reveal plenty about the direction Skoda's designers have taken.

Modern Solid Design Moves Into A Larger SUV

The Peaq continues the brand's Modern Solid design philosophy, but the larger dimensions allow the styling team to express those ideas in a different way.

According to Skoda, the SUV combines clean lines, carefully sculpted surfaces, and balanced proportions. Looking at the sketches, the emphasis appears to be on simplicity rather than visual complexity. There are few unnecessary details, yet the vehicle still projects a strong sense of presence.

The front end is particularly distinctive. Slim T-shaped headlights sit alongside a gloss-black Tech-Deck Face panel, connected by a light element that creates a frame-like loop motif across the nose. Beneath it sits a pronounced Volcano-shaped bumper with a clearly defined horizontal section that visually widens the vehicle.

It's a design that feels familiar to recent Skoda EVs while pushing the styling a little further.

Proportions Designed To Emphasize Presence

Viewed from the side, the Peaq adopts a more upright and substantial stance than Skoda's current electric SUVs.

A high shoulder line runs the length of the body, while wide D-pillars help create a strong rear section. The sketches also reveal flush door handles integrated into the bodywork, a feature increasingly common among modern electric vehicles.

The overall shape suggests an SUV designed with passenger space in mind, which is hardly surprising given its seven-seat configuration.

Even in sketch form, the proportions indicate that interior practicality will remain a priority.

Lighting Plays A Major Role In The Identity

One of the recurring themes throughout the design is the use of lighting.

At the rear, T-shaped taillights mirror the front-end treatment, linked together by another connecting element that recreates the same loop motif seen across the nose. Skoda says this helps make the Peaq instantly recognizable while reinforcing the vehicle's visual identity.

The lighting signatures appear designed to serve as a defining characteristic of the model, particularly at night.

Preparing For Its World Premiere

For now, Skoda is keeping many details under wraps.

Powertrain specifications, battery information, range figures, and interior images have yet to be revealed. What the company has shown is a clear indication of where its flagship electric SUV is heading from a design perspective.

The full unveiling of the 2027 Skoda Peaq is scheduled to take place in Monnetier-Mornex, France, on June 23. Until then, these first sketches offer an early glimpse of a vehicle that is expected to play an important role in Skoda's growing electric lineup.
